India will win the test series. Strauss will struggle in India . Shane nicknamed him Daryll( after that great player of spin bowling from SA one DJ Cullinan) that says it all. Pietersen will make runs, Trescothick is ok vs spin. Flintoff will also be ok. I am undecided about Vaughan. Bell will struggle as he has vs warne. Jones will struggle.

On the bowlers giles will continue with his defensive negative line which imho is bad for cricket but its in the rules and there is nothing you can do about it. Flintoff and Simon jones will be the key bowlers with their reverse swing. Hoggard and harmison will struggle since they can't really bowl reverse swing. And Harmison will get home sickness like he did in SA on the last tour.

If tendulkar is in full form when england arrive I expect india to win. Plus I believe pathan and zaheer will be key. If they can knock over a opener or 2 before the spinners start this will be a huge boost.

I think 2-1 to India.

I doubt Strauss will struggle he's a world class batsmen, people said he would struggle in RSA but he scored 600+ runs.

In my opinion beating a team like Zimbabwe doesnt make a team a team in form. Although India won the series 2-0 their weak points were there. I think if India do their best they can draw the test series but they'll eventually lose the One days. Talking about pak they are a team in their best form since 1992 world cup. there are 50/50 chances that england will draw or win the test series against them. And one days theres nothing to say it depends. Pakistan Espacilly with their NEW player Mohammad Yousuf might have the upper chance. Australia on the other hand can not be the world no.1 team anymore the mighty fall of the Ozies has reached.

ur user id shows that ur a pakistani (just making sure!).

anyways, lets watch. remember, even your pakistani team which is being built by woolmer, had their share of hiccups early when woolmer took over. the same thing is happening with chappell. i am sure chappell will get up earlier than woolmer and mould the team much better before the england series!

At the time when woolmer took over the pak side was heading downwards and at the same time they had to play Australia.India had their hiccups before chapplle. Remember when Pakistan visited India. The Indian coach at that time was John Wright who had been the indian coach for many months but still they Lost to Pak. Even though u guys had the best players in your team. Greg Chapplle is already having some problems with the Indian skipper. I dont think it is fair to say that Greg Chapplle is not coaching rightly. Its the Indian players that are not playing in the fashion they used to.

Its due to the differences in the team which is not causing the players. Its due to Ganguly. Once you sack Ganguly, the other players would automatically start performing fearing that if Chappell can have the power to remove Ganguly from the equation, then he can remove them too. Ganguly has spoilt the team and has created comfort zones for various players

India might not be in the gretaest ODI form of thier lives but still they are in way better form than England.

What have England done outside of thier homeland in ODI's nothing.
Even in England lost series to an Australian team which unarguably is in its worst form and days.

Pakistan shud win ODI series hands down as Pakis have done well in ODIs over the years.

Indian ODI series might be a close one but an Indian team (without Ganguly) will win it for sure.

PS: Word games have started for the Indian series and its nice to hear those.Seeing the condition of Indian cricket ,Flintoff has done well to let out the "shot at" incident.

Agreed !

indian players are not feared of losing their place due to which they perform casually.

Just because they are in bad form doesn't mean they are crap. Still the best.

The Australian ODI side was actually very good for most of the matches, they were cruising at Bristol until Kevin Pietersen (credit to Solanki's 50 aswell) won the game. The NatWest series final, they were home and dry, but again we came back at them with Collingwood and Geraint Jones and somehow salvaged a draw in that game. Not only is this England side a quality side, but they're battlers, don't know when they're beaten.

What happened? They played two matches and won one and lost one narrowly (the game was won by an injured Jayasuriya)! Its tough to judge what India can do without Ganguly!

Tendulkar was playing the whole series with an injury, ganguly was not also performing, and ganguly is still not performing, he is costing the Indian team dearly with his single or double figure scores in the tests. I think ganguly should play odis rather then tests, give kaif or yuvraj the place.

I doubt England will win the series becuase some of thier players havent played in India, or faced thier spin in Indian conditions, and they dont play spin well. you might have played warne good in the ashes's, but thats in england, the Indian condtitions are much more different, and they turn and bounce more.

SA doesn't really have a great attack any more. He faced ntini who is a good performer, an very expierenced dale steyn, an very average pollock( now where near as good as he was 3 years ago) a noexistent spinner in boje and a hot and cold bowler in andre nel.

India will be a bigger test for him. If he performs well in the suub continent tour then we can call him world class till then the jury is still out.

Struass as improved on facing spinners, but the Indian tour will test him and all the other English players.
