How typical of England is this, calling someone up to the World Cup squad with little or no experience in ODIs
Isn't Jade a girl's name?

If I were England I'd have been looking at replacing Yardy with the replacement for Shahzad, not replacing Shahzad if you see what I mean. Our top three bowlers in terms of averages in this World Cup are Tredwell (4 wkts), Bopara (2 wkts) and Swann (12 wkts) - so two spinners in the top three. Bresnan is fourth, while they might be looking for a third seamer they ought to have considered a third and proper spinner, or all-rounder spinner.
Our bowling attack next match could be ridiculously inexperienced, say :
Tremlett : 14 ODIs
Dernbach : 0 ODIs
Swann : 50 ODIs
Tredwell : 4 ODIs
Yardy : 28 ODIs
Less than 100 ODIs between them, I know England are not likely to pick three spinners, and they make it hard to do so by playing Swann only for years, but does it not show the inexperience of the squad - especially in bowling? Shight has 45 ODIs to his name, Shahzad had 11 and Bresnan 41. Only Broad (76), Anderson (142) and Swann (50) have 50+ ODI caps. In stark contrast the batting mostly have 50+ caps - Morgan (63), Strauss (126), Prior (67), Pietersen (114), Bell (96), Collingwood (197), and Bopara (58) with Trott (24) being the only one below of the proper batting.
I can see Dernbach being cannon fodder for some of the sides England might meet in the latter stages, I suspect Anderson will get a recall. Oh why has not one of the replacements called got spin in their locker?
