England's (Jarryd) tour of the West Indies (madmattg)

I may have faith in West Indies but at the rate Jarryd is playing this innings cricket 2006 will be out.

What. We were out all day yesterday so i couldn't get any play done, at 5:00pm on day 4, 1/180, Trescothick 95* Butcher 20 somethin

Trescothick dominates

Marcus Trescothick has starred as England moved closer to immortality. Trescothicks century as well as 62 to Michael Vaughan kickstarted Englands innings with a 150 run opening stand. for 5 and a half hours the West Indies toiled, but at the end of the day had only 1 wicket to show for it, Vaughan. Batting with Trescothick now is Mark Butcher, unbeaten at stumps on 36.

England 1/235

Trescothick 114* (208)
Butcher 36* (58)

Last FOW 1/150
Vaughan 62 (108) C. R.Sarwan B. B.Lara

Its going to be tight with approximatley 80 overs of play left and needing 292 for the win.

At 3.65 and overs and the current run rate moving around 3.79 an over.

The win is on the cards if you can hold it together.

Well done if you can.

Great start Jarryd- good luck for the rest of the innings :)

Its gonna come down to the first hour, if i can keep those two together, i'll probably do it, if i lose Marucs i'm all but screwed

England in box seat

England are now in a very good position to break the record for biggest total chased tow in a test match, 2/327 at lunch. It has been a long time between drinks for the West Indies, the last wicket falling in the second session yesterday. The breakthrough came shortly before lunch whrn Lara took his 7th wicket before lunch, bowling Marcus Trescothick. But the West Indies need quick wickets in the first hour after lunch, particuarly the one of Mark Butcher, unbeaten on 59.

England 2/327
Butcher 59* (134)
Hussain 5 (30)

Last FOW 2/313, Trescothick B. B.Lara 153 (271)

Thats still pushing for a beautiful finish to the game.

With two session of play or around 54 overs to play. If my calculations are correct. That would mean 214 runs to win at approximately 3.963 runs and over.

The last session of play is going to provide for a great finish.

I dont know how you are doing it. I started a new World cup and using Radagas 3.1 patch won my first match by a narrow margin of 17 runs.

The second match saw me being 4 for 2of the first over and a hopeless 6 for 10 of the second.

I managed to recover to a slow 211 for 8. But it seemed everything I touched went to glove in the first couple of overs.

The matches are so much harder. I look forward to our next match.

Good work Jarryd, it'll be interesting to see how this ends up

I have a new problem, it seems the Windies aren't trying to take wickets, but there slowing my runrate down, its 3.6 and the required rate is 3.9 so i'm gonna have to get going, but thats hard against Lara and Dillon.

Silly windies.

There needs to be a patch that can change the game play.

It would be good if you could change the field, how agressive the players and bowlers are.

I would be pushing for the win. None of this draw nonsense.

If the Windies want to play that way I wish you the best Jarryd.

Whats the current score?
