Story England's World Cup Journey - By Roofrom50 and FB

Thats the way for windies domination :happy One small suggestion, how about trying some other font color instead of light green.. Keep up the great works

Windies off t a great start,England will need some quick wickets now.

Great pres guys! Gotta be harder with more than 1 person.

England vs West Indies

Gayle and Hinds have continued devistating the English bowling attack with Gayle leading the charge. Gayle was hitting the ball hard all around the ground with more power then a grenade. His strength combined with skill meant he could pull apart the English attack. All the England captain could do was tweak the field a bit and pray for a breakthrough. This wasn't looking very likely.

The attack from the West Indies opening pair was really starting to frustrate Vaughan. He had bowled Hamrison, Hoggard, Anderson and Panesear and decided to bring on Flintoff who in his first over picked up the vital wicket of Gayle!

In one of the deliverys that Flintoff bowled Gayle went on the attack again but this time on the back foot. He beatifully glided onto the backfoot and looked to whack it along way but must of missed a beat as he got the timing all wrong and lofted it straight in the air for Hoggard to take a great diving catch.

England fight back

The England side has come out after the drink break after a need of quick wickets. They have been taught a new lesson by the West Indies opening batters in the 1st 25 overs of the match, and have just picked up their 1st wicket of the match, with Freddy Flintoff picking off Gayle. They needed some wickets now, because Brian Lara and Hinds are at the crease, and will be looking to put the cream on the cake on this match.

Monty Panesar had come into the attack for England, and was worrying Hinds and Lara for a couple of overs. His 1st 2 overs were good ones for England, as they only scored 7 runs of the 2 overs, and 1 of them overs being a Maiden, so Monty was on song for a good afternoon of bowling, but England just wanted him to pick up a wicket early, to really set the mood for him for the day. And with Monty playing some good attacking Cricket, The West Indies couldnt find a way around him. Monty had his chances to take the wickets, a chance that went beggining to Brian Lara early in Lara's arrival. Monty pitched a ball short down the pitch, watching for the bounce. Lara went for a glide shot down to 3rd man, but miss timed the ball in the flight, and just missed the chance to hit a boundary. Paul Nixon seeing the chance for a nick, caught the ball and gave a shout, but Monty from the other end gave nothing, and was devistated that ball didnt nip the bat and Lara woulda been on his way. Monty gets close and this is a game of inches.

After the few Panesar scares, the West Indies went into their defensive mode and started worrying more about the play. W. Hinds who reached his 50, was looking to take the confidence out of the England side, and started to knock around the boundaries again, and agaiain, and again. He just had the power and smarts to look around the field, to know where the gaps where, and see where he can get the possible runs for his team. Nothing could stop Hinds, not bouncers, yorkers or slower balls, Hinds was just on top of his game and looking in good form. The boundary fielders were running around, and running out of puff chasing the powerful shots of Hinds, and now he would be thinking about 3 figures nearing his century.

Now with just 10 overs remaining, England have 5 wickets, and the West Indies are looking to make around 320 after the 50 overs, so they have dominated this match so far, and England will need to bring in the big guns in their Innings to take this match. James Anderson and Andrew Flintoff have been the wicket takers for England, with Andreson taking 2 , and Freddy taking 3 wickets. Hinds has hit 91 before being dismissed by Anderson and caughty by Nixon the Keeper, Gayle knocked 80, while Brian Lara was compettive with 29 before Anderson hit again, with Trescothick at slip taking the catch of the great player.

Windies going along brilliantly! But if England can pick up a couple of wickets in the next 2-3 overs, they'll have a chance of restricting the Windies to a more chaseable total.

oh no.. Windies might collapse in their style :( Hope it doesn't happen.. It wudn't be a great suprise if we have 280 all out also. ;)

Boundary Chat
With England?s 12th man Paul Collingwood

Michael Slater: Hi everyone, im down here with England?s 12th man Paul Collingwood. Hi Paul, hows the day been?

Paul Collingwood: Hey slats, its been good watching the boys go, but its very hot! The boys need take a few more wickets and try and stop the runs so we can try and chase under 300.

MS: Don?t you think your batsmen can chase 300 :p.

PC: Haha they have the potential but it would be easier to chase below

MS: Freddie is bowling well today. He has 3 wickets. Is he hitting form again?

PC: I certainly hope so and by watching this I am pretty confident. He got a few big wickets and is looking good.

MS: Jimmy also doing good. He is developing into a good bowler for England.

PC: Indeed he is. I look forward to watching more of him.

MS: Filthy with the coach for not getting a starting spot?

PC: Hahaha nah its all good. He has selected a good team and everyone out their deserves their spot and I just have to work my way back into the team.

MS: Hes filthy with the coach ;) Anyway thanks for your time Paul.

PC: My pleasure.
