Host ask Indians to Bat First
(West Indies hoping to trouble the Indian batsman with some short deliveries)
Hello, and welcome to Jamaica for the second One Day International match between West Indies and India, live and exclusive on Sky Sports. After the first match been washed out by the heavy rain we expect a complete game of cricket today at the same venue. The Indians will be hoping to improve their batting after they had lost three early wicket for 50 odd runs before Dhoni and Rohit Sharma steadied the innings with their 65 odd runs partnership. For the Windies they would be hoping to continue the same form that got them some early wickets and try and trouble the Indian batsmen with some short deliveries.(West Indies hoping to trouble the Indian batsman with some short deliveries)
Weather and Pitch Report
Weather Report:- The weather looks perfect today for a game of cricket. The sun is shining in sky and its hopefully to stay the same throught the day with cloud cover coming during the evening. There are no chances of any rain today.
Pitch Report:- The Pitch is completely different from the one that was used during the first game. This pitch looks completely opposite to the first one. It has a small patch of grass around length area which will help the faster bowlers.
There is some help for the spinners and that's why the two teams are expected to be going in this match with two specialist spinners. The outfield looks lightning fast and ball will race the boundary quickly as it passes the infield.
West Indies won the toss and elect to Bowl first.
Well, the news from the center is that, the West Indian skipper, Chris Gayle has won the toss and without any thinking to do he has decided to bowl first on a freindly bowling pitch. The Indian batsman would be having some thinking to do before they face the West Indies bowlers in the middle.
Teams
West Indies:- Just one change from the last match which was washed away by the rains. All-round spinner Lionel Baker comes in for Keiron Pollard. Fidel Edwards has passes a late fitness test for his ankle injury and will be playing today.
India:- No changes from the side that started against West Indies in the previous match which was abandoned due to heavy rains. Two new comers Abhishek Nayar and Badrinath retain there place in the side and Rohit Sharma will again be opening the batting with Gautam Gambhir.
As the two Indian openers Gambhir and Rohit Sharma maker their way to the field behind the two umpire and West Indies players we will slip in a short commercial but there is live action on other side of the break so stay tune to Sky Sports.
PS: From now I will be playing this on ICC 2009..
