Who is your county team?

Will be watching Simon Jones's progress with close interest this season. I reckon he could definitely get back into England ODI/T20 set-up this year given how good he looked bowling in the Caribbean T20 in January.

They need to sort out the county scene. It's depressing that people don't watch cricket as much anymore, it's a fantastic game, and the CC is a fantastic thing. I agree with the suggestion to play t20 comp in the school holidays, and the CC needs to be slapped about a bit to put some life into them.

Too many T20s and I think the standard of the teams suits a 3 division FC system if we're going to insist on having 18 professional counties.

Cracking figures from Rashid and we got humped by Lancashire. Could be a long season for us, ultimate goal is D1 survival.

Where can I watch county cricket online? I am in the US.

Hmmm......I doubt you can. Sky have the rights over here, and don't bother to cover the opening games of the County Championship. Have to be honest, the CC is poorly promoted - and as such, gets pretty poor crowds - most of whom are OAPs...
It 's hard to believe sometimes that this is the top competition in English domestic cricket. Apart from the broadsheets, it 'enjoys' very little media coverage.

However, have spent 2 and a bit days at Aigburth and enjoyed the contest while it lasted. Sussex didn't really put up much resistance today - going from an overnight 152/3 to 174 all out in the space of an hour.

I think they only show about 2 county championship games a season and one of those two is the usually one of the Roses games.

Good points!! I'd like to see the CC in the summer months start later - say have the final session from 6-6:30 to 8-8:30 - get the people finishing work able to watch the final session. Not enough is being done to promote the CC, as you say it is fantastic. Cricket is meant to be our national summer game - yet very few people care about the sport. Sad....:noway

That is a very good idea andy. People would go after work and get the last session free. Then people would pay one day they were off work which will bring more money in

Ben Stokes could potentially break into the ODI/T20 set-up this year i reckon.

If only he had chosen to stay in New Zealand...

He looks to be a very exciting prospect does young Ben Stokes, I just hope his bowling can continue to develop whilst he's batting in the top four for Durham.

Ye i've liked to look of him since the last Under-19 WC. His batting looks ready made for limited overs cricket, but ye his bowling needs some work.
