The worst 'War of Roses' derby ever? Lancs seem hopeless at the moment...

Haha as it turns out, I happen to jinx it to one of the best derbies ever. :p . The atmosphere is just terrific. My previous post came when the Lancs were stuttering at 65/6 after 13 overs.

Yet another last over heartbreak for the Lancs. First Razzaq , now Rafiq.

I quite like FriendsLifeT20. But wanted to learn more. IN IPL 4 overseas players allowed in a team. Is this the same for English one. Is there a channel that broadcasts it. Thanks

Somerset reminding everyone why they won nowt last season. They are the South African's of domestic cricket!

We've bowled pretty well, but Somerset have been dire. 90 all out. Thank you muchly.

Actually I was having similar thoughts as yours Trev. :p Such a strong batting lineup, can't believe they crumbled to such a low total. For some reason, I notice Sussex always getting the better of Somerset in t20s while being aired on television.

Serious seam movement from the first two balls. ████ ball gets the wicket though. Everyone keeps middling it to the men on the boundary.

I can't see the match on any channel. Is it even broadcasted.

Wahab Riaz and Azhar Mahmood are doing a real good job for Kent

They don't broadcast matches on the days England are in action. The other days, they do. Tomorrow, you can catch Essex playing Glamorgan. In India, its broadcast on Star cricket. Not sure about Pakistan though.

Pretty interesting that Strauss is going to be playing for Somerset in an opening game against India - to get some match practice ??? Should this be allowed for County players (as in the case of Strauss who captains Middlesex) to swap counties for 1 game??? I wander if Trescothick will pitch for that match :lol

Middlesex don't own him, so in that sense it is a non sequitur. I doubt true county cricketers can swap around, but an ECB contracted player is a different case.

I think the problem lies in giving India five tour matches against counties. If there was a representative side in there, then they could easily name him or any prospective Test selection in it.

Tbf he's going 'on loan' to Somerset, much like KP did with Surrey last year (before finally fully 'joining the club' but why Strauss doesn't just stay at 'sex and just get match practice there is slightly beyond me? It might be that 'sex are pulling a Hants and refuse to play him so that they won't disrupt the side and so he has had to go on loan?

Scrap that.

'And, luckily for Strauss, he will get an extra look at the team he will be facing, since it is in the tour match against India on July 15 that he will make his Somerset debut.

The Middlesex stalwart would normally hope to turn out for his regular county.

But an urgent scan of the fixture list with Andy Flower revealed that the Lord?s tenants would only be playing one first-class match against Gloucester on June 27 while the skipper was off duty.'
