Who is your county team?

Nice to see Kyle Jarvis back in the Lancashire side after a tough start to life in county cricket although he only bowled 5 of his 10 overs last night and went at over a run a ball. I think as soon as he gets his confidence back he'll be one of the best seamers in county cricket but it will take time after the start he has had, just hope that Lancs persist with him.

Wow thats a massive win by Derbyshire, great way to start off the one dayers after a horrendous time in the T20s. Have watched a fair amount of the T20 blast this year and have to say I'm pretty gobsmacked at how England continue to leave James Taylor on the sidelines. Was pretty masterful in that chase against Yorkshire the other day. Even if they don't give him a crack in the test side, there is no excuse for not including him in the limited overs stuff.

One thing about Buttler leaving is that it gives chances to other players. Step forward Lewis Gregory. Great ton and he is going to have a massive future. Plus, you can never have enough all rounders in the side, so we don't have to worry about him not getting enough chances to impress. ;)

Were any of you Somerset fans at the game yesterday? Over 700 runs were scored!

And what an innings by Sam Billings (135 off just 58 balls). He's starting to show some form now which is good :)

Good crowd in apparently, even for a week day when the rest of us are working. ;)

God knows how Groenewald and Thomas got it that close, but that DL reduction was ridiculous. 9 runs off 2 overs lost, when you're chasing almost 8 an over, over 50.

The pinch hitter seems to be back in fashion. County Cricket seems to have lost the plot. Surrey sent in Tremlett to bat at 6 tonight, and Somerset signed a bowler who came to the club averaging about 10 with the bat in One Day cricket and has now scored 2 50s, in his last two games, at well over a run a ball. It's a crazy game.

In fairness, TG has always been able to hit the ball a long long way, it's just been a matter of how many times in a row. I can't pretend to understand Tremlett though.

It also looks like Sam Billings may be timing his run well to be the back-up gloveman for ODIs if Buttler got injured. Three brilliant innings in a row.

EDIT - It's a strange day indeed when Chris Tremlett (average 10) bats at six while Keaton Jennings (average 62) bats at bloody nine. Only bowled one over, too. What is the point?

Yeah I can't argue with that, his form has been very good and lets hope it continues (we need more Kent players in the England team :p)

What a match against Surry though, Gareth Batty run out off the last ball when only 1 run was required to win.

Yeah, Billings' numbers look good. I saw he got a load at Taunton, which happens, but backing it up at other places is impressive.

Seems like these new rules with only 4 men out of the circle mean that almost any number can be chased in the last 10. Good to see 50 over cricket being exciting though.

Loving the D/L system this season. Somerset went off after 5 overs, came back to a 33 over game and now had their total lowered, so Sussex are chasing less and know exactly how many overs they're going to get. Crazy. It should be going up, not down.

Ha @ Alex Hales calling Taylor a "vertically challenged lad" in the post match interview tonight :lol

Hales is always good value - I'd love to have him on the TMS team if ever he's free for an overseas Test

Anyone else watching the mighty Kent v Gloucestershire game? Pitch is unbelievably slow with little bounce.
