I also have to agree with the other person who said Rory Burns is great. I admire that player ever since for his playing style. Glad to know I'm not the only one who appreciates him for it.

All 4 teams that batted 1st in D1 this week made 550+, yet only one of them managed to turn it into a win with three draws.

Yorkshire dodged a bullet and managed to see out a draw, but that perhaps balances out the last few matches when they 100% should have been on for a win and had to settled for a draw themselves.

Swings and roundabout, eh?

Well, this is an interesting development!

Dukes admit 'quality issue' with batch of balls for early stages of county season: READ HERE

"The owner of the business which manufacturers Dukes cricket balls had admitted that "there seems to be a problem" with the batch that have been used in the opening rounds of the County Championship season, which has contributed to high scores across the country.

There have been 20 totals of 500 or more in the first 48 matches of the 2022 season, compared to only 12 across the 125 Championship games played in 2021.

In addition, there have been 36.89 runs scored for every wicket lost in the Championship in 2022 - a 28% increase on 2021, and the highest figure on record since 1990."

With Buttler not being called up to the England side the Lancashire top four for the T20 Blast could look like this:

Phil Salt
Jos Buttler
Liam Livingstone
Tim David

Either 180/2 after 15 overs or 10/4 after 2 overs with nothing in between. :spy
