Well, I've impressed myself with this one:

I'd love an auction tbh. Though it seems highly unlikely. Else I think I'm more than happy with this squad, and hence prefer the normal drafting method of releasing just the unwanted players and retaining the rest.

Re Draft Or Auction Please

The problem with the auction is that there are wayyyyyy too many local players who are more or less equally good.

Agreed - just look at the keepers:

Bairstow, Buttler, Prior, Kieswetter, Davies, Ambrose, Jones, Mustard, Nixon, Morgan, Foster, O'Brien, Read, are all good enough keepers - where's the competition going to be?

Prior, Kieswetter and Davies would be the top 3 keepers followed by O'Brien. Bairstow and Buttler are young up and coming players with heaps of potential. Ambrose, Mustard and Foster are average. Jones has had his day in the sun. Nixon is retired so he won't even be available to be picked. And when was the last time Morgan kept? Not sure if I'll let him keep this season.

Just waiting on Callum and harris to voice their opinions.

Obviously I'd like to be able to build on my current squad for another season. :p

I have decided that we'll have a release and a mini draft for season 5. This means that next season, (if we get that far), we will have a redraft/auction.

  • There is no minimum number of players you must release. You can choose to release your entire squad or no players at all. It's up to you.
  • The more players you release, the earlier you will feature in the draft.
  • PM your list to me ASAP so we can get things going.

Few more things about the upcoming season:

  • Each team will play each other team twice, just like this season. This means 14 rounds in the regular season. This in my opinion ensures that the very best teams make it through to the finals and gives you ample opportunity to recover from a bad start to the season.
  • I'm scrapping the MVP points system 'cause I can't be bothered working on it anymore.
  • I'll try get through the season as quickly as possible. If you get your lineups in quick, the matches will follow just as quickly.

So if everyone can send me their releases via PM, that would be much appreciated.

Still waiting on Umair and harris to send release lists in. If you could send them in ASAP.

Something fun:

Other than Cook, my team's full of players who're much better at OD matches.
