Close

A tricky little 12 over spell for the openers and Barry Richards’ response was to attack particularly against Pollock but he got a jaffa from Trueman and was bowled for 22 in the 7th. 28-1. Then Amiss tried to flick Trueman off his hips and played it straight to Inzamam at short leg for 15. 37-2. That brought Alec Bedser out as nightwatchmen and with Langer, saw out the night. 47-2.
Langer 10. Bedser 0. Trueman 6-1-13-2. Pollock 6-0-34-0.

Great bowling by Garner there! We did really well to restrict the batsmen but dissapointed to lose both openers before the close. Hopefully Bedser will hang around and frustrate them in the morning for a bit, Langer can just grind out runs like usual. Hopefully my long batting line up will jelp me out after we let their tail get far too many.

Good stuff mate!

DAY 2

Drinks

After a decent start, Pollock got a little bit of swing to bowl Langer through the gate for 24. 66-3. However, Pietersen wasted it by hooking Gladstone Small straight to deep square leg on 31 and it was held by Zaheer Abbas. 158-2. Gower got bogged down until Lunch but that was offset by Andy Flower scoring freely to get to 24 by lunch. 183-5
