Looking in on this league as an outsider, it looks fantastic bcvs, keep it up mate.

Also, you've recently been chatting about how many English players you should have in your teams, there are loads of English players, you just have to watch the County Championship, each county is only allowed 1 overseas player in their line-up for a 4-Day match.

I think that you should stick with your initial idea Bcvs, because it is an English Premier League, and the English players should be able to use this as an opportunity to shine. And a few of you were saying that you don't know many English players, to be honest, I was watching the IPL earlier this year on my TV, and i didn't know many of the Indian players that playing that have now played international cricket because of it.

That's one thing that put me off the IPL, the overload of crap Indian players.
Due to these poor players being forced into an international style environment, most of them were made to look very average.

By poor I mean in context, they would be great players compared to us.

You're absolutely right there about having a few more local players but having made a list of them last week,i realised that there are a bit too many 'not-so-well-known' players in it and had to find a way to get rid of at least some of them.

We are still going to need more than 80 players, as 10 = 8 is 80, plus we'll need extra players in each position so we can build our squad accordingly.

I, like Harris, is also keeping an eye on this. Personally speaking 4 overseas players are enough, you would like to keep the feel of the tournament local. But then again I havent put 7M on a team.

Well five works fine with NZPL, I just feel four is too little, like if you look through the APL teams there's always that one random player in each playing XI who you've never heard of, having five INT players would just cut that player out.

yes, and i suppose that as an English member of the forum, i have more knowledge than average on the forum of the County system which would make it easy for me to get a good team of players that are going to perform well.

Mate i think 80 players are enough.
By getting 15 players in the team, we get 8 local and 7 int.

If any team needs more local, then use the WPL system of adding 3 more local players who haven't been picked yet by your choice.

10 teams * 8 DOM players = 80 DOM players overall
If that is the case what happens if the last few players remaining are batsmen, while the team actually needs some bowlers.
If it's going to be run like an auction, I recommend at least 90 DOM players overall.
Therefore there's an extra say 3 batsmen, 1 WK, 3 AR's, and 3 bowlers who'll be left over at the end.
