The pace bowling was pretty average this season, hence I've gone with Tsotsobe as the international bowler ahead of Murali or Dan, and even though I was boarderline playing Swann I went with him in the end ahead of another domestic pace bowler because of his far superior average and wickets. Again because of the lack of pace bowlers I decided to go with a domestic all-rounder at seven, and I went with Zander ahead of Stokes because he's more of a wicket taking option. The only contentious batting positions was Colly, but I went with him in the end because of his batting average and his support bowling option with that economy rate.

YEAH! Talk out about leaving your best performance for the final! Everything we did was perfect, the boys were really up for it and were the better team against the Bucks. Credit to Bucks, they came back strongly to win 6 of their last 7 games and then beat us in the first qualifier.
KP was our marquee signing and truely led from the front throughout the campaign and especially tonight. He had a good unit from Ian Bell who has become a Southampton legend and this year's superstar Eoin Morgan. Fittingly all three contributed with the bat but Dilshan might have played the morally crushing innings at the death. He ended up being the difference between a good score and a great one.
The bowling start was ideal. Harris who came back into form against Liverpool took two crucial wickets. Perera and Meaker, our most consistent bowlers, also got into the act. Roach rattled the lower order and Dilshan chipped in too.
Overall a fantastic season for the Sharks and the EPL. Our title has been long due and we made it past Liverpool and Birmingham, two fantastic teams. Great job Iridium! (Y)
Only disappointment is not to have a crack at Callum's Durham. Maybe next season
KP was our marquee signing and truely led from the front throughout the campaign and especially tonight. He had a good unit from Ian Bell who has become a Southampton legend and this year's superstar Eoin Morgan. Fittingly all three contributed with the bat but Dilshan might have played the morally crushing innings at the death. He ended up being the difference between a good score and a great one.
The bowling start was ideal. Harris who came back into form against Liverpool took two crucial wickets. Perera and Meaker, our most consistent bowlers, also got into the act. Roach rattled the lower order and Dilshan chipped in too.
Overall a fantastic season for the Sharks and the EPL. Our title has been long due and we made it past Liverpool and Birmingham, two fantastic teams. Great job Iridium! (Y)
Only disappointment is not to have a crack at Callum's Durham. Maybe next season
