Season 6 - Stats Centre update
Stats have been updated for season 6.
- Despite not currently being in the EPL, Durham Dynamos still maintain the most successful win percentage. Of teams currently taking part, Liverpool lead the way, tied with Durham on 43 wins.
- Liverpool hold a commanding 10-3 record against Chelmsford Dragons, the best head-to-head record amongst all sides.
- Chris Gayle broke the English and Australian domination of the batting charts by topping it himself this season. Gayle scored 909 runs at 69.92 including a record three centuries during the season. Eoin Morgan (890) and Marcus Trescothick (832) round out the top three.
- Chris Gayle and Marcus Trescothick formed a formidable duo at the top of the order for Northampton. In their 15 opening stands, they averaged 86.46. Only on three occassions did they fail to put 50 on the board. Five times the score crossed 100 with no wicket down, including an EPL record stand of 223.
- Graeme Swann went about his work quietly, topping the wicket takers chart with 23 wickets, despite not playing in the finals. Kemar Roach (21) and Thisara Perrera (20), both from Southampton, took second and third.
- Paul Collingwood maintains his position as the league's highest run scorer with 3870 runs at 78.98. Michael Clarke (3713) and Sachin Tendulkar (3600) stay in their respective positions of second and third. Marcus Trescothick enters to top 10, displacing Craig Kieswetter.
- Like Collingwood, Danile Vettori still stands atop the wicket takers chart with 124 wickets at 27.00. Graeme Swann (114) and Stuart Broad (101) are the only other players to have claimed 100 or more scalps.

Andrew Strauss retires
England and Birmingham Bucks captain announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. This season he came to the fore with the bat, achieving his best run haul in his six seasons. He also led Birmingham to the Grand Finals for the first time, where they fell to eventual winners Southampton. However, Strauss has agreed to honour his contract with Birmingham for up to another four full seasons.

Still waiting for a few mangers to confirm that they will be continuing.
Expansion: There is sufficient interest in this league and a large enough player pool to justify expanding the number of teams. This won't be done this season but I will be thinking of ways to integrate at least another two teams by Season 8 without rendering the player auction in Season 6 redundant. If this can't be done, the earliest an expansion would be possible would be Season 10 or 11. I plan to have Durham re-enter the EPL and another team would be established to make it 10 teams in total.
Overlays: For the finals, I used TV style overlays with the pictures and caption. I plan to use them for all matches but with a different designs for regular season and finals matches. I think they just add a new dimension to the matches and with cricket being such a stats driven game, it feels right to have those on display.
Maynard Memorial Match: This will now be a regular fixture between the EPL XI and the season's champions.
