I am not going to list the day to day rankings on this thread. So whoever wants to do that, I will have no exception to it.

I am checking out some prices of the players. Germany players are pretty expensive.

Terry costs 6.5 at the moment. Defoe and Milner are more expensive. The players of countries like Denmark, Sweden and Greece are pretty cheap.

Mine's pretty standard, no real surprises.

Goalkeepers: Cech, Szczesny
Defenders: Piszczek, Koscielny, Abate, Papadopoulos, Cole
Midfielders: Ozil, Elm, Marchisio, Busquets, van der Vaart
Attackers: van Persie (C), Benzema, Jelavic

Thinking about removing Lindegaard and adding Given.

Yeah, Lindegaard wouldn't be the greatest choice as all the teams in Denmark's group have incredible attacks. Same with Agger I feel.

Given was one I considered but went with Szczesny instead.

Also thought about Ronaldo but I feel Benzema has better value.

It shouldn't matter who you go for, since they're both sure to start given Mertesacker's been out injured for a while.

Tbh I'm not sure why you'd choose players like Parker and De Jong. They're DMs and not the creative type. You want the players who are going to be directly involved in attacks.

Lindegaard is very good value for money but his first game is against Holland. I had him and transferred him for Given.

Yeah the strategy should be to mainly go for goalscorers. I'm not sure how the points system works as I can't be bothered reading the rules, but I suppose a DM that makes a lot of key passes wouldn't be a bad choice.

A tip for captaincy: you can change it after each day so it's better to give to the players that play first and go across like that.

I've dropped the German players, since they cost too much.

It's pretty tough to select a team with only 100 points in offer.

Yeah and it's best to select players playing at different times so you can sub them out when they're not playing. This is most important in the ST and GK positions.

E.g. Don't go for three strikers from the same group (3 strikers like RVP, Ronaldo and Klose) as only two of them will earn points at a time.

I initially had Szczesny and Cech but switched Cech for Given because of this.

Everyone picked Cech so I thought I'd go for the less common choice.

Also keep some points left over in case you want to transfer out some of your cheaper players for more expensive ones (e.g. what if Jelavic gets injured in his first match?).
