Why can you only play against the following teams?

Australia
Bangladesh
England
India
New Zealand
Pakistan
South Africa
Sri Lanka
West Indies
Zimbabwe

For eg. you can't play Scotland vs USA.

You can't play against other teams because they are not present.

All the players names and all are "fake" anyway. I am sure someone will make an editor so that you can set up your own teams and players. It doesn't mean the game sucks though. I am enjoying getting to grips on it.
