2007 Twenty20 World Championship

In my opinion, one of Ganguly, Tendulkar and Dravid should not be picked for this 20/20 world cup (i would want two, but india wont do it considering that we are more star oriented).

Kaif and Raina are a must for this format. ODI's itself place emphasis on fielding these days. More so for 20/20's where fielding specialists will work well. Also we need to bring back Pathan to get an all rounder. We dont need express pace bowlers. We need bowlers who can bowl line and length, and Pathan would fit in well (he is on the redemption road).

I feel India can try out a new captain for this tournament (though its unlikely). Dravid is not suited for this particular format, and he has become really slow these days. I would spring up a surprise here and give the captaincy for this tournament to Dinesh Karthick. He has been hailed by Chappell as a leadership material, and he was the captain of the winning Tamil Nadu side in the domestic 20/20 championship that was held recently.

If we can do most of this, India can be a major force in this tournament. I am more keen in India getting into the semi finals than the India-Pakistan match. Want India to go a good distance.

My ideal team would be:

Rahul Dravid
Yuvraj Singh
Mohammed Kaif
Suresh Raina
Irfan Pathan
Piyush Chawla

Dhoni is made Indian Captian, just because he used to play very fast 'LONG AGO'. India can never depend on Dhoni; He plays good innings 1/7 times. Dravid, Sachin & Dada have already quit. So my ideal team would be :

MS Dhoni (Wicket Keeper)
Rohit Sharma
Dinesh Karthick
Yuvraj Singh (Vice Captain)

In Canada, I suspect it will be on either CBN or ATN Cricket Plus, as they're the channels that show most cricket.

Yeah, I checked before my post on BBC if they were showing or not. I couldn't find it, so that's why I asked it. I guess I've to rely on cricinfo then.

Twenty 20! The name just gives me Goosebumps. What I like about this format is that it makes it a lot more open, so we might not see Australia dominating as much as they did on the extended version.

Twenty 20 for me is just not all about hitting, it is also about composure, and the team how’s going to have best composure are going to walk away as the inaugural champions.

I’ve also noticed that in this form, one player could make or break the game!
Australia have too much of those players, so they’d for me be hot favourites but then again on 20/20 circuit SA have had the upper hand over the Aussies

I'd say more about how you approach the situation. I mean for a 20 over game, you have little time to even maneuver your tactics and whether it pays off straight away. But mainly Twenty20 is thought out to be a slogger's game.

All Aussie matches will be on Channel 9 starting with the Zimbabwe match Thursday morning at 2:00 am (EST) then the English match at Friday 10:00 pm (EST). Their also going to screen another 5 matches including 1 Semi and the Final
