I'm hoping Gilly can have a big knock today to set him up for the first match.
If he has a good tournament, I think it may set him up for a good summer.

Pakistan beat Sri Lanka and that is surely impressive. Hafeez was the best player with two wickets for 18 runs and scoring 45 runs. Butt and Malik contributed with the bat also.

Sri Lanka 162/7 (20/20 ov)
Pakistan 163/5 (18.5/20 ov)

Pakistan won by 5 wickets (with 7 balls remaining)

And Kenya won the other match although it was pretty close.

Bangladesh 116 (16.3/20 ov)
Kenya 117/4 (19.5/20 ov)

Kenya won by 6 wickets (with 1 ball remaining)

Oh no, looks like Bond has hurt Gayle. Hopefully not too badly. I love watching Gayle bat, especially on free license.

Gilly and Haddin have fallen in consecutive balls.

Both bowled by Pollock. Gilly went out for 9.

2/16 after 3 overs. Slow going. Hodge not out on 5.

Edit: HODGE GONE TOO!!

Symonds and Hussey are going to have to save us again!!!!

Looks like the exact same start as yesterday. Now the Aussies will hope Symonds and Hussey recover them with 70's again.

Eeep.

We're in a bit of trouble now as Hussey goes for 14.

Hayden comes in. We are 4/64 after 10 overs. RR and wickets in hand is a major concern.

West Indies are in problems. Runrate isn't good.

West Indies 79/4 (13.0/20 ov)

A bit strange to see Hayden at number seven, but it's a warm-up match.

Australia 103/5 (13.0/20 ov)

Scotland will get around 150-160 runs I guess.

Scotland 132/4 (16.4/20 ov)

Aussies top order has been a concern. You'd think this would suit Gilly and Hayden.

For us, Martin bowled a Maiden (wow!) and Vettori an over for just 1 run. Good stuff.

Yeah..Why isn't Hayden opening?
You'd think that Aussies would dominate this kind of thing..Warm Up match or not!

South Africa is restricting Australia well. Hayden is gone.

Australia 121/6 (15.0/20 ov)

Are they showing this match in South Africa or Australia?

Zimbabwe beat Scotland like I had expected.

Scotland 155/6 (20/20 ov)
Zimbabwe 156/5 (18.5/20 ov)

Zimbabwe won by 5 wickets (with 7 balls remaining)

But this totally unexpected. I know South Africa could win, but they are currently cruising towards a nine wicket victory over Australia.

Australia 179/8 (20/20 ov)
South Africa 163/1 (17.0/20 ov)

In the other match West Indies are in control. Powell has great figures of three wickets for 4 runs in 4 overs.

West Indies 150/6 (20/20 ov)
New Zealand 90/7 (15.0/20 ov)

South Africa has won by 8 wickets. What a crushing victory. Smith scored 89 runs and de Villiers 65 runs.

Australia 179/8 (20/20 ov)
South Africa 179/2 (19.0/20 ov)

When there's no meaning to a win, there can be a lot to be gained by experimenting. I'd think it was good to see some batting from Hogg and Johnson. In a real match, at least 1 of the bowlers wouldn't be present and Hodge probably wouldn't be asked to bowl unless an injury had come up, but it's useful to give the ball to the odd ones. You can say "in the same conditions, Johnson and Clark performed the same, but Hilfenhaus was better." More useful information than bowling Lee out.

Not everything delivered a positive, as was obvious on the scoreboard. The top order hasn't fired yet and some of the fringe bowlers are not looking like healthy prospects.

I was curious why Clarke is yet to play, it turns out he has an abdominal strain and could be out for a week. I also wonder when Ponting and Watson will play. Clark did not fly out with the team, but he is there now. Ponting and Watson are said to be in doubt for the opening match, which is at the end of the week. Watson will join the squad tomorrow, but no further confirmation has been made on Ponting's status.

I don't think any warm up matches are being shown, else there would be text commentary on cricinfo.
