It's because the player roles are not matching. One is a wicket-keeper and the other is an allrounder. Like-to-like subs can be made. However, I still have another keeper in my team (Nicholas Pooran) so why can't I swap?

Why is this a rule? It's because the player roles are not matching. One is a wicket-keeper and the other is an allrounder. Like-to-like subs can be made.
To ensure improper subs are not made. It doesn't make sense to have (say a bowler) be swapped with a batsman's position (top 5).Why is this a rule?
but the players I am swapping are both top 5?To ensure improper subs are not made. It doesn't make sense to have (say a bowler) be swapped with a batsman's position (top 5).
Ok, but I suggest you change it:Agreed, but the role's aren't matching.
Batsman can be swapped with a batsman
Bowler can be swapped with a bowler
Allrounders can be swapped with either batsman or bowler depending on type of allrounder
Wicketkeepers can be swapped with a wicketkeeper.
On current version, it's not available. Is there a way to find out the overall points each player has earned before subbing them?
Yep!In essence, we are selecting a team for the entire tournament. However, I can make changes for each match within the parent event, right?
per event, like previous system. So, the number of substitutions allowed, are per match OR are per event?
I had this explained somewhere. Let me see if I can find it out. But basically that is as per design and not a bug.I made a substitution for the 4th game of the Asia Cup, however, my side for the 5th one hasn't changed (it is still the one that I had originally selected).
