any way we can start it on the forums? I remember cricinfo used to have it sometime back. every series you pick your xi from both teams and every match you get points based on their performance.

What exactly is the point of this thread? Are we going to start like a Planet Cricket fantasy game? Then that's pretty cool. I've often thought of programming my own fantasy cricket game on the internet but then thought about the MySQL nightmare that it would bring. I don't mind joining though. Or even handling the database of players. If that's what you mean.

n e way I like this idea...I don't have any programming skills but would like to contribute in whatever way possible ... at least by playin...

I think we can have it the dreamcricket way with 10000 points(not rep points) and select players based on the balance available with us and let us say the points won/lost by that team over and above that mark(10000) can be added to the rep...

I think that would be very complicated to implement (the rep thing) and would probably leave the whole structuring to the administration. I was probably offering my services too freely here. I have one week of mock exams coming up in 3 days and then 3 weeks of IB exams coming up in a month. I am pressed for time. I only have enough time to make 50 posts here in a day. Err. yeah.

I have investigated this and have found a vBulletin based fantasy cricket system I might be able to get for a small installation fee. This will hopefully (depending on the fee) be no problem but I assume that the system needs some people to run it, update scores etc.

Would anyone therefore be able to help with this if I can get the system for a small amount or free?
