Fast bowling in DBC17 ????

Let us not forget most of us were premeditating footwork when batting in DBC14 because the bowling speed was too high. I think DBC17 is working towards being a cricketing sandbox that we can customise for our own experience. I think in the end we will all be happy

I agree but the pace does seem a lot slower and now having the option too see the length of the ball before it's bowled (slightly and variable by modifiers) I kinda wish the pace was ramped up a bit at least for veteran+.

Personally I liked that feel, made it feel like real cricket... The sandbox idea however is excellent and BA deserve praise for giving us a such a customizable experience!!! Although if does work as I have read that it does and turning the sliders up on pace bowling speed causes "200 km/h" balls, I'd much rather the displayed speed in game stay the same, as it kinda ruins immersion for me to see such silly numbers...

Exactly my opinion , hopefully BAS is listening :)

I've currently got the sliders at min 50 & max 75, in the nets with the machine set to bowl random fast balls it's bowling between 139 & 159 km/h, in a match those settings seemed more or less spot on for me, on the faster balls it gave me just about enough time to sort my feet out and decide what shot I was going to play, it certainly looks a lot faster than it did in the videos that I've seen.

^Tried that already , the ball feel fast but not enough for my liking , really loving the 95 for min and max sliders , gives close to realistic feeling but still the ball seems to slow down considerably after pitching , may be I will mess around with Pitch friction setting but I am afraid it will gonna hit impact on the cutters and spinners.

Why not go for "Custom" difficulty in that case? You can have the sliders to whatever you want and don't have to rely on Veteran/Legend/Pro difficulty levels to tailor your gameplay experience.

not really what I meant. I wouldlike to have 150-160kph feel the same speed as it did previously in DBC14. Obviously I can change the sliders to increase the speed but then you get readings off 220kph which is the speed that 150 felt like in DBC14. So preferably I'd like to see the sliders just adjust the speed of the ball visually travels while not effecting the speedo if that makes sense. At the end of the day not really a big problem anyway.

Gotcha! Your suggestion makes sense, i.e. keep the bowling speeds the same from immersion perspective but let the ball get to the batsman quicker the way it's happening right now when you increase the slider.
