I have just tried to score game 1 on my ipad and I also got the same message.

Some people have had a problem with me allowing people to signup or make substitutions to their team 5 minutes before the game starts (i.e. after the toss has taken place).

I didn't know about it before but definitely no.

I prefer the old system in this matter. Signups close 1 hour before start of play and subs close 30 mins before Toss.

I see no merit in allowing users to change their XI once they know the playing XI. Loses the element of surprise and luck factor.

We have to factor in that teams are getting changed at an alarming frequency these days. Experts opinions on Cricinfo aren't able to predict the XIs correctly, as before.

Pros and cons to both systems, but given that we are in a changing era, Id still say yes to allowing squad changes 5 min after the toss here.

That's the thing, the player has to predict the XI.
