Features you want to see in next iteration of Big Ant Cricket

Another feature, not a feature but usage of commentary effectively and at the right time:

-Commentators shouldn't always give it away saying the ball whizzes past the best and to the WK which makes the batsman casual and not make him even think for a review..

-Make the commentary lines more of suspicious and indecisive lines by the commentator and make the batsman and the bowler think before they go for a decision..

-Some shots are 4 from the time they are hit ,those can be appreciated even before reaching the boundary, waiting for the ball to reach the boundary is not necessary..Not for all boundaries ,just the ones perfectly timed and flies to the boundary..

Only major thing that I would change is the AI. Just irritated me how they are often predictable and follow a "routine". I would love a little unpredictability.

Stadiums: In DBC16 I would like all the Australian stadiums in the game, Bradman Oval, MCG, SCG, GABBA, Adelaide Oval, WACA and Bellerive Oval. I think every Australian cricket state should get their very own home stadium in the game, for tournaments like BBL and Australian domestic tournaments like matador one day cup and Sheffield shield. I would like more English cricket stadiums in the game perhaps like Lords, Old Trafford, edgbaston, Headingley, The oval and trent Bridge for a Ashes series in England. I would like more Indian cricket stadiums perhaps ones in Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai for IPL tournaments. I would like more south African stadiums perhaps ones in cape town, Johannesburg and port Elizabeth. I would like more New Zealand cricket ground in the game perhaps ones in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland. I would like more west Indian cricket stadiums perhaps the ones in Barbados, Trinidad/ Tobago and Antigua/ Barbuda. I would also like stadiums in Sri Lanka, Pakistan and perhaps even in Zimbabwe or Bangladesh. This is a example on what kind of stadiums I would like in DBC16. If a stadium creator is possible that would be great but how do we know for sure that there is going to be one and if it is going to be any good or not or easy to use.

Stadium Sponsors: I would like the option to edit all the sponsors in all the stadiums including the grass sponsor, rope sponsor and bill board sponsors. I would like each stadium in the game to have their very own separate rope sponsor, bill board sponsor and grass sponsor because I don't want any rope, grass or bill board sponsor to clash with any of the other stadiums around the world.

Crowd: I would like the crowd to look better and also look more realistic as possible too. I would like them to be wearing their country/ team colours, while they are waving the flag too. I would like the option to select if I want a small crowd, medium crowd or a large crowd. I would like the option to disable the crowd too but I would like the seats to remain in the stadium. I think it would be great if we could edit the crowd's clothes and flags, since we don't have any licenses for the game, last thing it would be great if we could change the appearance or the crowd, hair colour, skin colour, and face.

Cheerleaders: I would like cheerleaders in the game for T20 matches and for T20 tourments. I would also like a flame machine with flames coming out of it every time a wicket is taken or a six is hit.

Commentary: I think it would be great if we could edit the audio files of the commentary so that we could record our very commentary.

Stadium creator hopefully can create all the types of grounds..Should wait to see the depth of the stadium creator..

Well the AI batting is totally shot, but would we be able to have a moddable AI? Cricket 07 kept going for ages after because of its moddability with everything from pacing to shot direction. Although I guess this wasn't supported by the developers.

Whenever I see a post comparing this game with Cricket 07, I always giggle a bit..^Nothing against your post mate, saying in general..

its one of those odd things; sometimes if modding isn't officially supported you actually end up with a greater mix of mods. Dunno why this is the case; but its something that I've noticed. Probably because when you have official modding people are less likely to fiddle with things that aren't officially supported, if you get me

Ability to view the player celebrate from various angles would be great , possibly including the celebration part as well in the interactive replay so that we can take great pics and share our experience..Posted on BA forums so sharing it here as well.

In addition to that:

-XP for all landmarks achieved both individually and partnership till maybe 500 as max.

-Ability to save highlights from the match [even option of adding it directly to youtube]

Not sure if this has been mentioned but I would like it if the normal shot didn't go to the boundary so easy. Perhaps the aggressive ground/air shots did it while no triggers went for 1/2/3.

I've been toying with this idea for a while now. What if DBC followed a similar legends system to All Pro Football 2K8? Basically, that game is based around a bunch of retired legends of American Football. You have Gold tier, Silver tier and Bronze tier players. When you create a team you have a limit on how many Gold players, Silver and Bronze players you can have. I think you can pick a maximum of 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 6 Bronze (I think).

This could possibly work in a DBC game, with retired players from different eras. If it's difficult to get licenses off current players etc., then getting the permission of retired players might just work. Of course, each would have to be specifically modeled etc., like how Bradman himself is within the game. Personally I think it would be awesome to include players from the Golden Age of Cricket (1890-1914). Yes, I know you can create these players already, but imagine if they were officially licensed in the game. I guess to make it work you might need to implement special abilities maybe? Abilities are also the other feature within the system of All Pro Football 2K8. I don't know how that could work in a cricket game though.

Of course, this idea is probably a little too ambitious for the next DBC game. But maybe, when and if, it becomes a franchise and Big Ant get a decent sized budget, they could possibly implement a legends system in future games.

Also! I'm sure this idea has been presented many times before, but preset batting stances and bowling actions would be awesome! even if there's only a small number to choose from, the variety would be welcome.

Fielder_Throw_Gauge.jpg

This is my idea for fielder throw meter..The above is mainly for the inner circle fielder and if the user input is in the zone of stumps then its a direct hit..And the speed of the meter at which the meter zone moves depends on the fielders skill, if the fielder say ABD then the meter should move very fast and the possibility to hit stumps also gets high and if the fielder is of lower attributes then the meter marker moves slowly making the run out chances a bit harder as he might get the chance to hit stumps but not at a faster pace like a fielder with attributes higher..

The meter would also change according to single stumps ,two stumps based on the fielder's position and the visibility of the stumps from that position..

If the throw is on the red slot in the left then the throw must come in rolling at a slow pace and if its in the slot to the right then it should come in at a height and if the meter input is missed it should go over the WK or bowler fielding and backup comes into play...

For fielders in the long the meter can be made longer so that the timing of the throw can be based upon the distance from the stumps and even direct hits can be made possible but only to the best of fielders and the chances must be 3/10 throws..But he should be able to get the flat throw in to the WK rather than the long loopy throw from fielders with lower field attributes...This way placing the right fielder in the right place becomes very important..

It sounds like fielding in that java mobile game Ricky Ponting 08, tbh. :p And the idea of timing the moving switch just at the centre of the bar, sounds too mobile gam-ish, in my opinion. It will also get tiresome if you have selected manual fielding and you have to time that meter every time, instead of just pressing a button once and throwing the ball.
It will also inform the batsman whether the ball is heading towards the stumps or not, which will strategically put the fielders at a big disadvantage.
