Features you want to see in next iteration of Big Ant Cricket

@MattW a quick suggestion that popped in my mind, sorry if it has been already suggested. I have an idea of implementing the bowling actions and batting actions. Many people pointed out that bowling and batting actions should be different for different people. How about implement different actions to be set in the academy (in the player creator). For example while creating a bowler we could have the option to choose his bowling action, mitchell starc one or bumrah style or malinga style. :D

This is literally the only way they would implement different animations if they decided to put them in?

This may be a bit left field, but I'd love a more realistic AI vs. AI spectating experience (If the feature is going in).

I work from home and love to watch a match play itself out on DBC (I have no interest in T20 and it looks like real life cricket is just turning into a four month slogfest). It's also nice to sim fantasy leagues, and plays an important part in career mode when you are at the non strikers end.

At the moment it suffers from the bug of attributes not mattering very much and at the risk of a simmed Bermuda beating a simmed Australia, I don't use it any more. It would be great if this was attended to, although maybe if the bowling is sorted out this would fix itself.

I can't think there was ever any other way it would be implemented?

@Biggs @grkrama re ranking etc. an absolute must is that they don't even allow ranking until they have opened up every attribute and asset in the academy that will be in the final game, and disqualify from ranking or sharing anything that isn't fully complete/populated.

Yup it would also help if BA can provide with some guideline builds with generic names in the academy for different types of players to start with!

This certainly would help a lot in getting Complete players in the academy. the only thing would be sometimes people who are good at getting likeness of the player wouldn't be so good at getting the build right. So if some quick generic option sets are available, like say an brute leg spin allrounder etc may help. So that others can refine it later.

The one idea I had was to be able to link players to their cricinfo page and so whenever you start up Don Bradman 17 it would sync the stats...
Thats a cool idea

That's a great idea and it'd be great if it could be implemented, but could it possibly be infringing some sort of copyright or cause a licensing issue? The problem being it is then acknowledging that the created player is in fact representing the certain real-life player which then may require BA to remove the player from the system, whereas if there's no link there's technically no proof that the user is intending to represent the real-life player. I have no knowledge on this kinda thing though

Didnt Cricket Coach do this or Cricket Heroes?

Problem with this approach is that Big Ant will have to make some sort of royalty or usage payment of some kind to cricinfo. As far as I recall you can use cricinfo's stats for non-commercial analysis but you can't use it commercially. Big Ant could very well implement sourcing stats from cricinfo but I would be very very surprised if cricinfo doesn't get in touch with them about it once cricinfo gets wind of it.

Yeah, it's a great idea in theory but as Criconline says above it would cost Big Ant a lot of money...

Would like 2 things to be added:

1.) The batsman shot impact points.

2.)The technology which shows:
-If the ball had not swung [or spin or seamed].

Difference in degrees..

Not really... Because they could assist in both batting and bowling if used properly.

You can see where a batsman is playing his shots from and adjust accordingly, or get some feedback about why you edged/missed.
Absolutely right..Thats the purpose of those..Improve our approach to the game accordingly..
