Features you want to see in next iteration of Big Ant Cricket

Use of 12th man maybe not a big feature but it can be used as a important feature if Big Ant adds STAMINA feature in the game like if in a T20 match if stamina of a bowler drops that means he will not be able to perform well( his line and length should be affected). And the fielders with low stamina will not reach to the ball in time to stop boundaries or to take long run catches. This way we can bring in the 12th man to give some time to the important bowler to take some breath and come back in the field with increase stamina.

Pretty sure while that certainly happens, it's actually not encouraged in professional cricket.

I honestly don't think "12th Man" really needs to be a "thing" in the game, as it's so irrelevant in the modern game (ie; most international teams will name a 12th man in the squad but they will almost-always just be running drinks and you'll send someone entirely different out to field should they need to)

Hi
I want to discuss one feature as i am not sure whether that already shared earlier or not.
While creating any competition there must be additional option of location whether that played at any one location or home/away as defined location in team identity (current)
Beacuse mostly any competition is played at single country or location.
Thanks

I'm hoping there is a solution to the online mode concerning 'Quitters' i.e. when playing online, people can dashboard so the other player does not get the win. I understand in some circumstances connections may be lost, but 9/10 times the other opponent quits deliberately. I think it would be nice that there is 'DNF' percentage next to each player's ID to identify such persons if a more practical solution is not found.

Ok. Here's my two cents. Seven things need to be changed for DBC17.

1) Edges. Popular topic on this thread, I know. But it's probably the most important thing that needs to be improved. As a fast opening bowler, I have taken 2 wickets from edges in 5 career years.
2) Run outs when the stumps have already been broken. At least the other problems follow the rules of cricket. This one doesn't! Too many times has the ball hit the stumps, then the keeper taking off the bails which aren't even there anymore and me being given run out, despite the fact that in real life that wouldn't have been even thought of as being out. There needs to be a new control to take out the stump, then, quick single overthrows could become a reality, like they are in real life.
3) Rain. I have not once experienced rain in a four/five day match. That needs to be added. It would keep you on your toes for a four day game to be shortened to three due to rain.
4) Pitch wear. This is self-explanatory. There is no difference between a day one and a day five pitch.
5) Super-fielders. I know that you have fixed this over the patches but there are still way too many catches running back 40 metres taking a diving one-handed catch. Also, fielders are still regularly hitting the stumps from the outfield 1 in 4 or 5 times.
6) Being dropped in Career Mode. Do you really think that New South Wales would play a 16 year-old batsman that averages 15 in his last 8-9 matches? I don't think so.
7) Fielding options. Fielding needs to be harder. People might not actually simulate the fielding if you added a fielding aspect.

Please take this on board, especially numbers 2 and 5, which are super frustrating.

That's odd that 2 bothers you more than 1 :)

Funny as well you & a few others mentioning rain: I'm playing a knockout competition at the moment & had each of my last 3 games rain affected. Admittedly rain been very rare up until then

I agree with the first 6.

Number 7, could you explain a bit more by what you mean? (not trying to pull it to bits) Was it that instead of just directing a fielder to the ball and pressing a button to throw it back did you want to see more combinations of buttons or processes. Or just more challenging in general?

I found pressing the sprint button worked when running in the field I don’t know if it really did or it was me thinking it had an effect but I found fielders to be faster when running to collect.

Edges a way that worked online was bowling shorter as most batsman had a strong front foot. I don’t know if it would work against AI in career never tried it out. I found this the only way to counter act the way the game worked in favour of the batsman.

I think he is trying to say that, in career, no one should be able to simulate while fielding.

No, he wants fielding to be an aspect with which people will look at it as a part of career by making it interesting part..By making it so people might actually look to field as well..

One area for improvement in dbc 2017 is pressure sensitive shot making. That is if you press button in controller for more duration the more you will get power for the shot. Say if you want to play the defensive shot just tap the defence button gently and if you want to play drive shot press the same button a little longer. If you want to play lofted shot tap the power button gently and if power shot press the same button a little longer. The duration of pressing the button decides the power of the shot. If implemented properly This will make the game more authentic. Reference to this type of game play is seen in Freddie flintoff all round cricket mobile game.

100%. Fielding, at the moment, is boring and useless. Who wouldn't just skip it? I want a fielding element to be added where it's harder to catch and throw, and, therefore, people might become interested.

To be honest, that's pretty symptomatic of fielding in general. It's never going to be the "go-to" career choice for players. The option to manually field in the current game is pretty laborious if you want to be that involved in standing in the field throughout your career at slips. Curious as to what you would suggest BA do to make "people interested" more in fielding? We've already had cut-scenes and mini-games for fielding in previous titles which were more annoying than anything else and I would say the majority of people have DBC set to semi-auto anyway?

Or maybe BA can take a leaf out of MLB..In that when simulating career ,it stops when the career player is involved in the fielding and he is awarded skill points for that fielding..That would make us feel we are involved in fielding part of the game as well..
