Features you want to see in next iteration of Big Ant Cricket

the ability to choose if a fielder has long sleeves/a vest etc. in the field

generally, keepers all wear long sleeves in the field, and forcing them to wear compression clothes while batting and fielding to somewhat achieve this effect is a little dissapointing.

its a bit sad when the above is a huge issue for me... :lol

Shows how well bigant have done :thumbs

Well,ROSS thanku very much 4 dbc 14 ..... enjoyed it alot.
The following things should be in the next sequel:
commentary team that was used in Ashes cricket 2013 must be in the next sequel.
Some licensed leagues, stadiums and international teams.
Graphics same like fifa 14 or close to it.
New batting, bowling and fielding animations.

Feature:Fielding radar

why:makes batting that little bit simpler when you dont have to keep looking around the field which is a waste of time.

Feature:Appealing by pushing up on both analogues. Quick flick would be a relaxed appeal. Pushing and holding would be a loud appeal. And pushing up both and then pushing down on one after would be a stifled appeal.

why: Both fingers are already on the analogue sticks when bowling. It would feel more natural to appeal. Both analogues, like putting both arms in the air.

Don't know how much work this is to make true and happen, probably never going to happen, for such a small change to the game, to be honest sounds like an awesome idea! best "wish" i have probably read thus far!:thumbs

Yeah, it's a good idea, I like it, not sure we could put that in, really loathe to change controls.

Sorry, but -1 to this suggestion.

Why: I don't want my bowler throwing his arms up in the air because the game thinks I want to appeal a LBW or other when I'm trying to take a caught and bowled, or if I'm controlling someone in the outfield and trying to take a catch.

My personal want at the moment is a way to easily view the condition of the ball. Maybe make a 'Pro Cam' mode for the bowler that allows him to get a close up view of the ball in the hand and able to rotate the ball infront of the eyes to see how each side and the seam is fairing. Currently I really have to force myself to think about shining the ball, and I really have no idea what the condition of the ball is in to work out if I should be swinging or seaming at a particular time, especially in a longer format game where a ball change may have happened and you're not aware.

I'd like some feedback while batting. The bowling HUD means I know why a delivery ended up where it did, so I know what I'm doing wrong and can correct.

When batting however, there isn't this kind of feedback which makes improving difficult.

Maybe just a pop-up hud with relevant info (timing, shot selected, direction of step, maybe a little bit about the ball faced?). And ideally one that can be turned off (like the bowling hud) so that once I've got the feel of it I can bat without it.

I'd like some feedback while batting.

The nets does give feedback in relation to timing.

But not to be rude, isn't all the feedback there on the screen? You can easily tell if you were early or not.. and where your footwork went, and where your bat went.

I think the major problem people face is thinking they pushed the analogue stick in a certain direction when in reality there's usually a margin of up to 25 degrees either side that we are actually pushing in (for me it's probably more like 60 degrees).

I've had that happen but I'm not so sure it's always accurate. I had an over last night where the first ball I slid way across to the off side when i'd meant to go to the leg, I could have sworn I'd pushed leg side so next ball I made sure I pushed it straight across to the leg and again my footwork took me way over to offside, third ball same result and I was bowled. Pretty annoying. Don't know why but on the second 2 balls I was 100% sure I had pushed the stick directly opposite to where my player moved too.

That's why I like the idea but wouldn't implement it - it would need a controller overhaul.

Yeah, good idea on the ball - surprised I didn't think after all the effort that we've gone too with ball wear etc. that you cant see it :facepalm

OK Here is my Wishlist for next versions career mode (as this is really the mode i am obsessed with)

I totally understand that some of these are totally unrealistic and not possible, Im just throwing ideas out there:

* Annual Ranking Points to be spent on something like example:
1. Training camps: So your good down legside but just cant play offside shots, well at the end of the year you can spend 3,000 annual ranking points on the Offside training camp that improves your attributes! other training camps could be Power Hitting, Bowling Yorkers, Defence, Outswingers, Catching etc etc

2. More Powerful equipment: 2,500 annual ranking points buys you Biggs super bat that gives you a bonus to your power hitting, or maybe a different bat that gives you a bonus to your defence, buying better cricket shoes may make you run faster, or make your footwork better, gloves could help your reflexes, a new helmet may help you play short balls better etc etc

3. Publicity: 5,000 ranking points might buy you a front page spread in the newspaper, which may then get you more attention from the international, IPL and county selectors

4. Pretty much anything to make earning the reward points worth it, as right now, Im not sure what the point of earning these points are??

* Speaking of Newspapers, maybe once a month a newspaper comes out and talks about whats happening in career mode, how well your going depends on what type of article you get, dominating International may get you the Back or front page spreads of the sports section, sucking in domestic cricket may get you a little paragraph down the bnottom of some pointless page??

* One thing id love to see in Career mode is Player awards! Domestic cricket awards, IPL cricket awards etc etc ICC Awards.... Team of the year, player of the year, Batsman of the year, allrounder of the year, Innings of the year anything..... Give yourself some major achievement. 10 years in you could be known as 2 time MVP of the Sheffield Shield, 3 time ICC cricketer of the year...

* Adding further to that maybe a page which list your milestones on career mode. Like this player has won 6 X BBL title, 3 X sheffield shield Titles, 6 X County champions, 3 X T20World Cup winner, 2 x Ashes winner and also stuff like listing 7 centuries, 10 50's in Domestic one dayers, or something a little bit more flashy for your achievements

* expanding a little, Id love a little more in depth ont he stats, Like listings of your Highest Partnerships in certain forms, or even a dedicated page to you listing your year by year stats in further detail, Im a stats man, and so are the majority of cricket lovers, stats mean everything to us

I have a heap more in my head, but i wont expand just yet

By know means take this as any kind of criticism, even though i have been playing games for 25+ years i have no idea how hard these things are too implement so i dont want to be ignorant

But Id love to build this career mode into not just a sporting game, but a quality RPG game as well, which can be asily done by the simplest of allowing people to upgrade equipment and improve attributes like all quality RPG, MMORPG or Slash and Hack games do

Why not try and implement the best of both worlds into one epic career mode game

I do understand the budgets are limited, but hopefully DBC sells like hotcakes and you boys make millions to enhance the budget for the next iteration??

I got more, i might add later Rosco

More in depth career mode. Would be nice to have a practice session option that let you play in the nets and improve your stats. Add in some more player movement, players being dropped, moved around the order, other young players trying to make the team etc, communications from the coach; maybe if your struggling they may tell you to improve or be dropped, being dropped could send you to grade cricket with the young made up players and dropped real life players until you improve again, interaction with people from your country; for example if your identified as "getting attention" for your bowling maybe someone like Lennis Dillie takes you for a net session and gives you tips and a big stats boost, ability to choose what formats you want to play in; may be nice to be able to be a limited overs specialist and not have to play shield if you don't want to\would be nice to be able to be a batter in the shield and a part time bowler in limited overs but not really for fc games, a better tutorial mode, ability to pick a stat that your player works on over the off season. All in all the base is good and if the bugs are fixed it could just improve on the trimmings.

Ross I mentioned this long time ago, maybe nobody noticed it :( but here is that post where I suggested the above idea:

http://www.planetcricket.org/forums/don-bradman-cricket-14-forum/don-bradman-cricket-14-general-discussion-81753-625.html#post2628559

Not exactly the same but almost similar idea. Would love it if implemented :)

Will BigAnt be looking for a yearly release or a different release pattern? Think it'd benefit more if it was bi-annually.
