That's what annoys me about this pre order offers - there is no incentive whatsoever if your main mode of play is CM. I'm happy this year though - ?13 odd for Fifa 13 PC, but that's only thanks to Nectar points etc.

And miss out on Fifa 13's amazing looking Career Mode? Not to mention being stuck with PES' boring Master League mode - how many leagues does it have again?
I've just pre ordered it from good ol' Amazon, the only place selling it at a reasonable price, for ?25 or so - minus ?12 from nectar points and other cashback, so Fifa 13 PC will be mine for a piffling ?13.
Will get FIFA 13 over the summer when I have my PS3 again. Like I said, I don't have it with me here at uni so I have to play on the PC.

Why not get it on PC - isn't your Uni PC up to it?
Haha, as I said on the previous page, having problems with my gamepad. Right analog doesn't work on FIFA but it does on PES. Too cheap to buy a new one and as pace has been taken out of FIFA, tricks and pushing the ball forward with the right analog will be key.
Yeah, pretty annoyed as well, I'm trying to see what's worth more, 24 gold packs or 10,000 EAS FC Credits.

I don't understand that some people can't see that someone could happen to like a game without there being some kind of ulterior motive...
It's how I feel about CM - it's almost as though they'd read my mind and added pretty much everything they found to the mode. International Management by itself was a massive surprise. Has PES got that?
Don't get me wrong, I think PES 13 is going to be a great game (I've played the demo extensively), but Fifa 13 will just edge it for me. PES is going in the right direction, but for me there will always be the problem of a lack of content - leagues, cups etc. It's not about licences for me - some people buy Fifa because of the licences, I'm not one of them. I buy it because for me it's the best overall football game package. Time was when PES was the best - so back then that's what I bought.
Oh and for those having controller issues on the PC, do yourselves a favour and get an Xbox 360 pad. It will work with any PC game that's around now, as well as any that appear in the future - it's basically the PC's 'unofficial official' gamepad.
I was kidding mate, you just seem extremely keen about FIFA and more specifically FIFA on the PC, that's all
. I agree that FIFA is the best package, UT, Career Mode, Licences, great online support and fun gameplay. Not much more you could want.----------

You mean 10,000 FIFA points? Where is that available? Only American retailers?
I think 10,000 points is enough to buy more than 24 gold packs in UT.

A quick heads up, it seems that a lot of people are having issues with FUT packs at the moment - pop over to EA Forums for more.
@thedon - Oh, OK. It's just that you get a lot of that sort of thing at EA forums, usually from PES diehards, and they mean it as well. I wish I was on commission from EA, that would come in very handy but alas, that's not the case.

Are they the same thing or what? This whole point system has got be new, never saw it on FIFA 12 and it can't just be a USA thing, that would be bloody unfair on everyone else.

Nah, Mighty Ape got me covered, 24 gold packs, a poster and a t-shirt, can't complain.
The FUT servers are back, it was hacked by guys getting unlimited Messis and Ronaldos and stuff and putting them up for 200 coins.

The Web App servers were always down with FIFA 12 too, their servers can't hold many people so they only let in a certain amount.

Leaning towards 24 gold packs tbh, the EASFC credits doesn't suit my needs.
Did EA clean up the mess or what(Messi's and Ronaldo's for 200 coins)?
I've given up, I'm just going to get on daily, pick up my gift and get right off.

That's right, you can buy coins with EASFC credits, I remember now. I think they are different to FIFA points, I believe you earn them every time you play a gam too. The 24 gold packs is better though, that's 6 months worth of packs. The credits will go in one go, whereas the packs will still be coming in for months, and should keep your habit for opening packs in check, so you can save money for trading and building squads.

I've been reading a bit around the EA forums and what I've gathered is that the EASFC credits are more for the people who play career mode and pro clubs. It apparently has to do with the all new EA SPORTS Football Club catalog and the boost in UT coins is more like a multiplier, for e.g. double the coins for say 10 games.

The market's always tweaked, people have autobuyers up soon enough, and at the start of the game, people always list players for very little due to lack of knowledge of the market, e.g. you might find a Thiago Silva up for something ridiculous like 20 K.
From what I saw, you can use the credits to buy real coins, e.g. 500 credits for 5 K or something.
