FOOTBALL Fifa 13 PC and Consoles

Full manual is the only way to go for me. That's one of the many reasons I don't play online - too many kids using assisted controls. I just prefer CM, and that's not going to change this year judging by what I'm hearing about it!

You can play manual online too in H2H.

Yeah even if you have to turn the cpu difficulty down to find the right balance, the more manual you make FIFA the better it gets. They kind of ballsed up legendary difficulty on this anyway, in that they don't play good football and beat you, they just play really boring dribble from left to right for 10 mins football :p

I can't stand legendary - ping pong passing, endless shooting, insane pressure - nothing like real football. Professional/World Class + the indispensible sliders for me. Hope they're keeping them for Fifa 13.

You don't, since through balls can only be put on manual or auto ;)

Well I made it to div 4 using manual on everything but short passes but then I just got bored as everyone started playing the same tactics with similar teams and finding a lower star team for a game took too long.

It's not fully assisted though. I control the weight of the through ball and vaguely the direction. I'm sure there's some setting I have on for through balls.

Yeah manual only games are class. Play much more like football in that teams go through spells of stringing everything together and then just having a bad 10 mins.

I just liked the fact I was beating all the auto players. Being able to play a diagonal through ball 60 yards into space for a winger or striker was awesome. They clearly had no idea it was even possible :D

To add though, shooting is feckin' hard on manual :p

I defeted Barcelona in legendary difficulty as Real Madrid . All the possession in legendary difficulty is of the oppostition and we get just nothing in possession . If we want to win in legendary difficulty then we have to play legendary ourselves because our team become foolish and give passes to opposition but just a little tackle puts on a yellow card following on a free kick which will abviously be a goal near 25-20 yards and I hope that a little tackle will not be a yellow card in next football games .

Yep - you know why? Because we're so used to pressing the stick right into a corner, because before the days of manual, that always guided the ball nicely into the corner of the net. Now, that will result in hitting the corner flag! You've got to really aim at that goal now. If you've been playing what amounts to assisted as long as I have, it's become ingrained in your technique, so you've really got to pay attention to it.

Also, I play with broadcast cam ( not tele broadcast) as that opens the goal up a bit, making it easier to get shots on target. The odd one still hits the corner flag, but things are getting better. :D

With everything on manual? Winning on Legendary isn't hard, it just doesn't play anything like football.

No I played with assisted controls , Yes all the sweet name of football sours after playing legendary difficulty .:( I don't have enough possession to try manual controls but what if I do 100% of user's gameplay and then play legendary difficulty with manual controls ?:rolleyes

Looks a fun mode, but to make skills usable in non-UT they need to make the dribbling slightly silkier, as now it is difficult to control the skill moves well.

Really I've never seen anyone pull of great skill moves in non-UT without using someone insane like Messi or Ronaldo, so it would be nice now that there is better dribbling if skill moves such as the scoop turn, roulette and Ronaldo chop were much more controlled in non-UT.

Thanks for the views guys, I am going to wait for FIFA 12 and buy that.

You mean Fifa 13? ;) You can buy Fifa 12 right now! :D

Ha Ha, well spotted, I did mean Fifa 13, I don't have Fifa 12 but I will wait for the new one to come out it will probably be better, only played Fifa 12 at my friends house

You really need to play with people who know what they're doing :p

2 and 3 star skill players are easier to beat people with I find. The step overs and roll to the side are excellent skills to use. I find people like Ronaldo have too many that come off when you're trying to pull off something specific.

Yeah I've only played non-UT with mates who have barely ever played FIFA:p.

I would agree with 2* and 3*, but I do skills for fun really, so prefer 4* and 5* skillers so I can do flashy moves that may not come off as well, but look incredible. I don't see what's annoying with 5* skillers like Ronaldo. They have some deadly effective skills like the McGeady spin and rabona fake.

Roulette is an excellent 3* skill as well. Favourite of mine.
