FOOTBALL Fifa 13 PC and Consoles

Will get this for the PC as I have no PS3 at uni. Then I'll get the PS3 version over the summer and thrash Mani online :p.

Death of the finesse shot? I've scored more bicycle kicks(2) than finesse shots so far.

Wanna play 6 minute halves on PC?

Make an ini. file, add this:

[]
SKIP_BOOTFLOW=1
HALF_LENGTH=6

and stick it in your Fifa 13 demo/game directory. :)

Since slowing the game down with sliders, I now love this game. It is easily the best Fifa of all time and I think it'll push PES 4/5/6 as the best football game of all time. :)

Downloaded the PS3 demo yesterday, and it is by far the best FIFA that I've ever played. Although I see what some are saying about the speed of the gameplay but it suits me to be honest, and you can still take the pace off the ball by knocking it about for a bit.

The new first touch system works very well, and adds even more realism to what was already a very good game. However my favourite part so far has to be the matchday part, I tried live season as a trial last season, but wouldn't have spent money on it. This seems similar, yet a more polished version of it.

Overall, even if the full game doesn't improve on the demo. I'll still be pleased that the game has improved significantly over last year's version

I adore matchday. I just hope it refers to what's happening in your own CM in the full game. :)

Supposedly there are quite a few improvements over the demo in the full game, such as the first touch control being much better.

Going to try the demo now.

Well yeah, remember the FIFA 12 demo and numerous impact engine fails? (never went away if you think about it :p)

The demo isn't very fun, the half length is far too short, there's no Cazorla in Arsenal, the ratings are worse than I thought were possible and it feels almost identical to FIFA 12. I haven't noticed the first touch control even once as well. Aerial through balls are even more powerful now though, and in FIFA 12 they were already very overpowered.

The skill moves being heavily downgraded on most players is very disappointing for me, the new dribbling does something to balance this out, but the thrill of beating someone with skill then scoring is still unmatchable.

However, the new animations and attacking runs are very good additions and do change the game up a bit. A lot of the bugs also seem to have been eradicated, which is nice to see.

Still, on playing the demo, I can tell the full game will still be pretty fun, especially with Ultimate Team and Career Mode to play, plus full proper matches.

Are you playing on PC? From the massive differences in opinions that I've read, I'm beginning to think the PC version of the demo is superior because to me it feels completely different to Fifa 12 and First Touch is a fantastic addition.

The PC version was the best version last time out, so almost certainly is this time out.

Nah I'm on PS3. There's nothing to make the game any different other than less bugs and graphics if anything on the PC. Everyone will have their own opinions on the changes to the game.

For me I don't notice first touch since anyway I've always never held the sprint button down while receiving a pass. I already felt there was some level of first touch system in FIFA 12 which is why I did it.

Oh and the AI is soooo boring to play against.

I feel it's harder to score goals, maybe it's because it's a new game and I'm not used to it yet, but yeah, I'm not creating as many chances as I used to on FIFA 12.

Agreed, I too always felt that the first touch was already in the game, could always notice it when passing to your CB, my bet is they just re did it to add a bit of unpredictability factor.

Yeah I feel that too.

Do you play a lot of UT? Maybe it's that, everything there is much smoother and it's a lot more end to end, plus it's easier to dribble past human opponents and get in on goal. The AI just likes to spam the jockey and teammate contain, most of my shots are blocked.

----, yes, it's definitely that, switched right from UT to FIFA 13 demo, makes sense. And don't even get me started on the AI, contain, contain and more contain, I think had 3 shots blocked back to back by the same defender the other day.

Tried the demo out, and it's really good I like it alot. It's much harder to score now. Probably going to get the game at boxing day :spy
