To all members of Planetcricket.
Welcome back to online play yet again.This time,i am thinking of starting an online World Cup for Cricket 2005.We did have a similar one like this for the 2003 World Cup when it was played over Cricket 2002.

To register ,all you have to do is :

ID : Planetcricket username
Team 1: First choice team
Team 2 : Second choice[just in case,we cannot allot the 1st to you]

Not too long ago,PC had also started the online cricket board for all members who wanted to play online with a porper schedule and.I believe it is time to revive the good old days and continue with the tradition.

The rules and regulations would be announced once we get the requisite number of teams.

To play online:
Well its daMn simple.Just play out an innings and then swap the file.
You send it via e-mail or best upload it here.The other player can then download it and play out his part !

Practice Matches = March 15- March 19
Super Eight = March 23- March 27
Final = APRIL 4TH 2007


Each team plays the teams in the groups once.
Two teams from each group proceed to the Super 8

*Bangladesh v New Zealand

Semi Finals
*Bangladesh BEAT South Africa
*Sri Lanka BEAT Australia

Grand Final
BANGLADESH V SRI LANKA AT MELBOURNE


Each match should be finished in 4 days.2 days for each team.
Matches to be of 20 overs each.No patches to be used for the group stages.
Please use Planetcricket roster as mentioned in the earlier posts.


March 15

- Sri Lanka beat India by 1 wicket
- Pakistan foerfeit against West Indies
- England forfet against South Africa
- Bangladesh beat Australia by 1 wkt

March 23

Super 8

*India v South Africa at Brisbane

*Australia beat Pakistan at Adelaide

*Sri Lanka beat West Indies at Sydney

*Bangladesh beat New Zealand at Hobart

It seems that we have 5 teams registered.
Teams on a first come first serve basis only.
Well if anyone opts out,that team would be up for grabs.

The format would depend upon the number of teams registered.
Ofcourse,it would'nt have all the Super Eight and stuff,just plain matches and then the knock-outs.

Why aren't we using cricket 07, no offence to those with C2k5 without C2k7

Cos it doesn't have Ireland etc
