Yeah. I don't know if it's explicit in Voldy's post about finances or in the newbie guide, but always hang onto your money for as long as possible, especially for something like the Academy, which will degrade.
That 30k you spent could have accumulated interest for the rest of the season. I admit I can't tell you exactly what it is in practical terms, but cumulative interest is a powerful thing.
-Plan your spending on ITS; instead of an even rate, look to spike production as late as possible.
eg: about half way through the season, start spending 20k a week and you will have about 100 ITS by round 1.
-Wait until the last moment to upgrade the stadium; if you have 2 or more weeks away, there's no point spending money in the first week. Just make sure it's 8 days before your next home game.

Yea I sold Islam a few weeks back for 1.4 mill. It's so much better being in the 1mill + zone cause of the interest you make. I never thought about it too much until I got there and now I'll probably make sure I have a mill in the bank at the very least.
