Melbourne Cricket Ground :- Flat / Hard / Sporting
Chinnaswamy Stadium :- Flat / Dusty / Sporting
Eden Gardens :- Flat / Dusty / Dry
Supersport Park :- Green / Hard / Sporting
Flat pitches are a heaven for batsmen and nightmare for bowlers (especially spinners).
Hard pitches are beneficial for faster bowlers who hit the deck hard. Batsmen who can play the short ball well are also benefitted.
Sporting pitches are a complete average of all the pitch types.
Dusty pitches are good for batsmen who can play spin well as well as for spinners who can turn the ball well.
Green pitches are a fast bowler's heaven. Great swing and seam is available to the pacers.
Dry pitches are rank turners and are a batsman's nightmare. All spinners work well here.

I feel you should also mention in LINE UP rules that minimum of 4 bronze players should play

It is fair, I think... Last season we had the same squad compositions and the same lineup rules....

It is fair, I think... Last season we had the same squad compositions and the same lineup rules....
Yeah that seems fair, but the only thing is you should have informed us before the draft. I am not the part of the previous session. So I didn't give much importance to the bronze section earlier.
But that's fine now.

Pujara-AP.jpg

The Melbourne Thunders' openers' stay at the crease was quite short as Murali Vijay and Jeet Raval were both sent back by the score of 68. Then Cheteshwar Pujara and AB de Villiers got together and stitched a 185 run partnership. Pujara was the main scorer, as he made the first century of the First Class World Series S2. After his wicket, AB de Villiers continued and also made a century. After their wickets, Angelo Mathews made a fifty, but no one else could score big. Melbourne were bundled out for 385.

The top 3 of Victoria Bushrangers asserted their authority over the Melbourne bowlers as all three got fifties. Hashim Amla made a quick 67 while Usman Khawaja made 51. But it was Imrul Kayes in particular, who made 74 runs and showed some hope of a win. But after his wicket, no one made any big contribution. Chris Morris and Peter Siddle tried to draw the match. But batting for one and a half days against a bowling lineup containing James Anderson was almost impossible. Victoria lost by 81 runs.

It was a good match. It was important to get the first innings lead and we did that. ABD and Pujara gave us runs on board and well supported by Matthews throught. Vijay led from the front in second innings. Contribution from Neesham and Amir in the lower order was the key factor. Shami and Wagner too added 44 runs. Anderson and Wagner were good with the ball and well supported by Santner. Good start for us !
