I've signed a few oldies on free's/cheap myself. Trezquet... scored quite a few for me before leaving for 4m, which I then signed Inzaghi on a free to replace him. So replaced Trezquet and made a 4 m profit. Inzaghi scored a few goals himself before leaving.

Riquelme (gun), Van Brommel, Aurellio and Henry have been signed for frees since. Also made a few large cash signings - Mexes, Dzeko, Veloso etc.

lol 10. Isn't he there in yours? I bought him very cheap and he's making a mockery of his price tag now. Scoring in every other game.

Interesting that you signed him. I attempted to recreate the 2008 side with Ronaldo/Tevez/Rooney interchanging, Giggs staying further back due to his lack of pace and Evra overlapping. It'd be interesting to try it with Rooney/Berbatov and maybe Nani, with Beckham playing deeper on the other wing. Nani is nowhere near as intelligent as Ronaldo though and his decision making makes him difficult to play.

I always like the idea of signing older brilliant players who lack pace though. Beckham is technically amazing and has a brilliant footballing brain. But his lack of pace means he can't play as a winger. It'd be interesting to see how he fairs a deeper, central position - as a deep-lying playmaker.

Well I tried signing Ronaldo, but he was just too expensive. And anyway my club's cash strapped.

Started a game as Wigan.. Thought I might start with a mid to lower table team and I've always had a soft spot for Wigan for some reason in real life.

Good striker in Rodgella or whatever hes called, he is scoring goals but hes injured now and I reckon he'll be one of those players who spends more time injured then fit. Brought in Benjani, Viduka and this Argentinian attacking midfielder called Rodriges, young bloke apparently hes a gem.

Lost badly to Chelsea in the opener, 0-3. Lost to Portsmouth 1-2 after being 1-0 up at half time. Then smashed the Wolves 3-1 following those big two losses.

Looks very good so far. The match preparation looks like an excellent feature. Dynamic league is definitely a good feature. Everything looks more indepth, and the 3D looks genuinely good!

Trying to get back into FM10 before FM11 is released. Decided to return to my Arsenal save that was slowly going downhill following a horrific start to my second season.

Cesc just popped up and scored a screamer to hand us a 1-0 win over Bolton. Hopefully this will spark a run that gets us back into the Champions League hunt.

So far this season we have had some awful results:

Lost 3-1 to Man United
Lost 1-0 to Chelsea
Lost 4-0 to Everton
Drew 0-0 with Reading
Lost 3-2 to Bordeaux
Lost 1-0 to Man City
Lost 2-0 to Peterborough
Lost 1-0 to Tottenham
Lost 1-0 to Besiktas

Now need to win at least 8 of our next 9 games before the Man United rematch.

2020/21 with Malachians, it is the first year we have made it past the Third Qualifying Round of the Europa League after four straight second finishes in the league, in the 4th Qual. we get Ukrainian giants Dinamo Kiev.. and serve them up, with a flukish 2-1 aggregate win.. off to the group stages.

Get a fairly easy group against H-Tel Aviv, Celtic and Lazio.. but I was just hoping for some good performances, already got the $2M in the bank so I was delighted.. in oru first game, away from home, we gave a great showing against Celtic, was 1-1 but then they scored in the 90th minute... then we are up against Lazio the giants at our home. They are dominating the entire game when out of nowhere my centre back heads home from a corner, I switched to a 5-4-1 from there and held out thirty minutes as Lazio took about 30 shots to our 3... we won 1-0. Then beat H-Tel Aviv twice despite being underdogs, 1-0 at home and 3-2 away, both which they probably had the better of... and somehow, we qualify ahead of Lazio and H-Tel Aviv.

Knockout Round scheduled us against Zenit, should be good fun. Can't believe we actually qualified from our group. We can't even win the league

You must actually be a god at FM. I started off a new save with Manchester United with all the latest transfers and somehow got a budget of 74 million! So I signed Mesut Ozil, and some young Blackburn midfielder Michael Potts. Have also sent about half my squad out on loan .

Was playing a Euro Cup Second Knockout Round match against OM and I was down 1-0 until the 60th minute when Rooney scored. And then Douglas Costa scored in stoppage time and I won!!!!!!! Bloody fantastic win.

Defeated West Ham 4-0 after drawing the last 3 or 4 games. Have drawn Arsenal in the 4th round of League Cup
