My inspirational half time team talk turned it around. ;)

lol reminds me of the community shield.

Always United struggle when they face the Spurs. Its way too common in the game.

You'll be hard pushed to find a better comeback than this:

Deserved to win it as well, which makes it all the sweeter. I'm in 2015 (December) and have just joined Bradford with them in 20th. Beat Crawley Town, who were 3rd, 4-0 in my first game and now this win in my second. Hoping for a big playoff/promotion push in the second half of the season.

3 goals in stoppage time?!! That is so Fergie's time! :p

Nonetheless, it's amazing to see that. Good job. :thumbs

Also, that is probably one of the rarest thing that can happen to FM players considering the silly match engine tends to just skip most of the game till the end IF you need to score.

Had a couple of crazy but somewhat fun days gluing myself to FM11. First up, had to play Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal in three straight home league games. The first two games ended beautifully.

Biggest win over Liverpool and Man United in the game. And that is the first time I was able to put 4 past United in this game. Then, next was Arsenal. Hoping for another thrashing but it didn't quite happen. :lol

They went 2-0 up after just 15 minutes thanks to some rubbish defending on my part. Lampard then pulled one back just 6 minutes later and in the second half, Rossi equalized after Almunia failed to grab hold of the ball from a free kick. Typical Arsenal.

In the Champions League, I had to face Barcelona after they somehow finished second in their group behind CSKA Moscow. Tough tie but it was pretty interesting.

Decent result from the first leg and in the second leg, it got slightly easier when Abidal got sent off but had to be patient. Took long enough but was happy when two goals came in as many minutes to finish off Barcelona straight away.

All four English teams - Chelsea, Man United, Arsenal and Everton - got into the quarter finals and an all-English tie was bound to happen. I then got Arsenal. Played the first leg at home and won 2-0. Pjanic put me in front after just 6 minutes. In the 64th minute, Cole was sent off and had to play with 10 men. But 10 minutes later, I went 2-0 up. Got a corner and Almunia had no problem catching the ball but Koscielny clashed with him and the ball bundled into the net! :lol

That second goal proved to be crucial as I lost the second leg 1-0. So, in the semis, I have to play Real Madrid while Lyon face Juventus in the other tie. Should be fun.

So Man Utd and Everton lost as well :p

Yeah, sadly. :lol United lost 3-2 on aggregate to Madrid after Higuain scored late away goal for them at Old Trafford in the second leg. Everton pretty much already lost the tie at home in the first leg after being thrashed 3-0 by Juventus. They ended up losing 5-1 on aggregate.

Forgot to take a screenie of the squad again. Will post it soon tho :p. And my biggest win against Man U was 6-0 :D

Just finished the season and it has been a tiring one with the amount of games that I have to play! Or maybe that's because I was gluing myself to FM11 for the past couple of days non-stop! :p

Domestically, won only the Community Shield and Premier League. Got to the finals of both the Carling Cup and FA Cup but lost both to North London clubs. Played Tottenham in the Carling Cup final and suffered a 4-2 defeat on penalties. In the FA Cup, have to face Arsenal yet again(!) and lost 2-1 thanks to a late goal by Nasri. Took the lead in the 1st minute but then conceded those two silly goals for not dealing with crosses!

In the league, Tottenham and Sunderland(!) managed to finish in the Top 4 with both coming in 3rd and 4th respectively. Arsenal ended up in 2nd while United finished in 5th! I have to say this is surprising and somewhat good as well because in my the other Chelsea save, the Top 4 in all but 1 of the 11 seasons I played was the same every year - Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United. So, nice to see some change, even if it is in a different save.

Then, in one of the penultimate games of the season against Arsenal at the Emirates, I managed to get this result despite the early sending off.

I basically just played on the counter after that early setback. When I suddenly managed to score, I laughed like a mad man at Arsenal considering they were getting all the corners, free kicks and throw-ins and looking like scoring more than I did! :p

In the end, Rossi won the Golden Boot with 20 goals, just one more than Torres. He would have scored more than just 28 goals IF he hadn't suffered mini goal droughts in the second half of the season.

On the other hand, Hazard was excellent throughout the season. Won the English Player of the Year award and he certainly can only get better with age. Going to try playing him on one side and Sanchez on the other in the next season.

Now, for the Champions League. Had a tough tie against Madrid but managed to win but only just.

Was disappointed not being able to get any sort of advantage from the first leg but the away goal rule will be useful in situations like this. Then in the second leg, 0-0 at HT and decided to setup rigidly and play on the counter instead from the second half onwards. Worked well and the game could have easily gone to penalties if Casillas didn't come off his line when the ball wasn't even in the penalty box which leaves both of his goalsides exposed that led to Sanchez scoring after getting a pass from the central position outside the penalty box. That said, not that I bother with it.

In the final, the opposition was Lyon. They beat Juventus in the other semi final 4-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw on aggregate.

Was getting battered for the first 30 minutes and created literally nothing at all. After the half hour mark, managed to get forward and got a few shots away, in which the third one resulted in a goal from Pjanic. He took a shot and it suddenly went into the top corner. Out of nothing really, I went 1-0 up. Managed to hang on till half-time and I then just did what I did against Madrid. Setup rigidly and played on the counter. In the end, won the final with a boring 1-0 win. :lol

Finally, something slightly random but in about the final 15-20 games of the season, I was being involved in matches where they were red cards(for either side) and most annoying of all, my players giving away needless penalties! :mad

----------

And my biggest win against Man U was 6-0 :D

Prior to that 4-0 win over United, the game have never "allowed" me to score more than 3 against them.

So in my droylsden save I finished 7th in league 2, missed the playoff places by a point. But the board still weren't giving me any money, so I resigned. 4 months later Doncaster came with an offer which I accepted, and about midway through the season we're 3rd. I have a ?1 million budget now btw.:p

Did they sub weak players at stoppage time? or did your players drink red bull XD

But a nice win, and a tight schedule as well.

Sunderland managed to get into the Champions League group stage after beating Marseille 4-1 on aggregate in the play-offs. They were in the 4th seed and ended up in the same group as Barcelona, Rangers and Panathinaikos.

The only annoying thing with the group stage draw is that I got Anderlecht again! Just played them last season and I have played several times before in the other save. :facepalm The other two teams in the group are Fiorentina and Lech Poznan. Never played them before in the game. So, that should be fun. :lol

I'm confused. In the pre-match press conference leading up to my Asian Cup match against India, this was what came up.

"Won't the other players miss Mark Schwarzer and his international experience?"

Well he's not injured, in my squad and ready to go. Can I ask what the fearsome tweak this guy is on about?

Won the BSP at the first time of asking, also won whatever micky-mouse cup trophy those teams play for. Wasn't thrilled at the prospect of a 50+ game relegation dogfight in League Two, because our lack of funds/financial infrastructure meant doing well at that level so quickly would be tricky. But yeah, won two titles and a cup, turned Eastleigh professional, and then walked away after two years service.

Moped about waiting for another job, preferably in Italy. Reggiana job was not available. Finally, the hapless manager of FeralpiSal? led the supposed promotion candidates to six defeats in the first seven matches of the season, and I stepped in to drag them out of the relegation size. So now I'm managing in Italy's third division.
