lol, I've decided to have a little fun before FM12 comes out by playing with Barca and trying to dominate and in the first game of the season (after beating Real Madrid 2-0 in both legs of the Super Cup), I beat Malaga 5-0 but they managed to concede 4 penalties and have a man sent off, which I found pretty funny considering I don't get many penalties in FM.

But yeah, liking my lineup.

Played Wigan away and although I selected somewhat of a strong team, I did not bother making any changes in terms of the tactics and players during the game at all. Just kept the same starting XI from start to finish and Wigan then scored a late winner for a 1-0 win.

haha, I always play weak lineups in cup matches cause I couldn't care less if I lose them but I get annoyed when the board expects me to go well in them. In my Barca save, I've drawn some Second Division side in the Spanish Cup but I don't think I could lose if I tried so I may as well rest my best players but still try to record a 15-0 aggregate win or something

I usually only tend to ignore the Carling Cup if I won the Champions League in the previous season.

lol, you've got to feel sorry for Puyol. On a hattrick and misses a penalty (even though he's not a set penalty taker, Villa and Messi are). And a hattrick for Lionel Messi but it would have been great if both managed their hattricks.

A bit annoyed at conceding a goal as well as it's only the second goal I've conceded all season (after a 3-1 win at Valencia).

lol, I feel sorry for Zaragoza now Funny thing was that it was Pedro's first start of the season. David Villa was superb with 3 goals as well as 3 assists.

To compound my annoyance even further, Milner picked up an injury and I had two ways to deal with it. Either send him to a specialist with a medical cost in which he will be out for a month OR let the physios deal with him and he'll be out for 7-8 weeks. I ended up selecting the second option after failing to read my physio's report carefully!
