They've already said it will be much bigger than 08. They announced a week ago they'd probably have to move to DVD/CD rather than CD because on 08 they were so close to filling the entire capacity of a CD that they almost had to cancel the production. It will be noticably bigger. The 3D will take a huuuuugge amount of space, as will them having re-written the transfer codings.

In fairness Madman, you can't exactly criticise Dan for being a bit skeptical when you judged PES09 on the very first set of screenshots.

Actually changed my mind slightly. The 3D doesn't look too bad with the overhead view still, and 2D available to switch back to. Press conferences look class. Why female managers though?: How many female managers are actually in the game? NWAF.

The patch fixes that except all the goals on FM08 seem the same so I play FM07.

The videos/podcasts show some decent footage. 3D? Interesting step, though undoubtedly was always going to happen within the next few versions. Release is about 10 weeks off, still.

The more I've looked into the game, looked at the screenshots and read about the new features, they more I'm excited about the game. The skin's not changed much, but I'm sure my current skin (Bluu from Sortitoutsi) will be ported over. The 3d Match Engine looks pretty simple, and like Madman said, they've been working on it for 3 years, and it's been tested on FM Live iirc. I also love the look of the new Press Conference feature, the press interation on the current game is pretty poor tbh, and was definitely something that needed to be sorted. They've also sorted the woeful Confidence bars, which was a shocking inclusion in the last game, a new signing had 1 bad game and suddenly his signing was an aberation. Better be sorted this time.

Started a game as Real Madrid earlier, not played as them on FM, not played as any major Spanish side actually. The only big teams I play as are Man U and Inter. I've signed a few players, looked to strengthen the midfield and attack, as I feel a defence including Pepe, Metzelder, Ramos, Cannavaro and Marcelo with Garay coming back from his loan in January to be more than enough. I also have sold a few players, with Salgado, and a load of the Castilla players going, as well as Miguel Torres (somehow got 12million Euros for him). Anyway, here's the team as it looks currently:

Pretty happy with my signings. K?n Ag?ero was going to be my only signing, but when the money came through for Salgado and Torres I decided to buy the transfer listed Jesus Navas, and also decided to purchase Diego Capel as well. Snjieder would get in the first team ahead of Navas, but he's currently out for 4 months. What you reckon ?
