Yes I do support the Capital club, as my fav player, Raul plays for them. But to be honest I prefer the "old" Real Madrid which had the likes Raul, Morientes, Figo, Zidane, Carlos, Helguera, Hierro, Casillas, Makelele, Savio and all the other players who used to play during the 1996-2002 period.

Now they have got too many foreign players, and I do feel that the signings of Beckham and Owen were not all required. I am sure they were signed purely due to commercial reasons. Both are good players but are surplus to requirement at Madrid.

Anyways I would like to know who are your fav 5 players?

Hey, whats wrong with Heskey?!!! KLiverpool ruined him, he is now getting back to what he used to be at Leicester City, a good player.

Arsene Wenger has reportedly said that Liverpool should not have been in the Champions League and are lucky to get to the final. He thinks that only the champions of the country should win the right to go into the Champions league.

This sounds like sour grapes, Liverpool are not lucky, they have beaten Juventus and Chelsea to name a few (hardly an easy run in). If only the champions go into the tournament, Arsenal will not be in it! So he's shot himself in the foot there.

One more point-If Liverpool win the CL, Wenger will be the only manager in last seasons top four that has not won the CL, so maybe he is feeling the pressure of this.

They should have NEVER sold Makelele.

He used to be like a Keane or Vieira for them.

After he went,Real just crumbled.

Raul used to be my favourite player,but now,he is in shocking form.

After the signing of Ronaldo in 2002,everything went down.

Firstly,Morientes got unhappy.

And then that idiot of a president Perez sacked Vicente Del Bosque.

Then he put in a very incompetent manager in the form of Carlos Queroz.

Then he doesn't buy any defenders.

He goes out and says,"Defenders are destroyers" :

And in that season,we ended up trophyless.

Morientes left for Liverpool.

I think Raul should be dropped for a few matches.Michael Owen has been in very good form,and he should start alongside Ronaldo.

One good thing I've heard is that Perez is going to recruit a few defenders this summer.

Gabriel Milito has been rumoured to join us.

If only Del Bosque wasn't sacked,things would've been different.......

And,I read this on some site,I'm not sure if its true or not,but it seems Chelsea are lining up an 18 Million move for Michael Essien.
