But in the league, you need alot of consistency, which Liverpool clearly lack.

but all the expectations Chelsea put on themselves were to win 4 trophies, sure they landed a big one, the league but they missed out on the FA cup through trying to rest players and easily go through and also got knocked out of the Champions League. Chelsea shouldn't of set their aims so high for the season.

It was only the bloody media who were scurrying around saying Chelsea will win 4 trophies.

In his interviews,Mourinho said that he would be happy with the Premiership,

1. Sure luck plays a part in a league as long as the EPL but as Gold said, you need consistency and Chelsea were by far the most consistent team in the EPL
2. ECL and FA cup are completely different to the EPL because anyone can beat anyone on their day in the cups, think of how many shocks there have been over time.
3.Everyone knows who i support and so I call them United they know who I am talking about.
4. Mourinho did not say anything about winning four cups, he's arrogant but he has a right to be so.

And Neilthomas,I never commented on Liverpool's performance in the final.I just said that in a cup, certain amount of luck is necessary.Look at Milan, they were lucky to beat PSV.Liverpool IMO were lucky to beat Chelsea(That goal didn't cross the line).

How do you know it didnt cross the line? What proof do you have that it didnt?I have seen some pictures that seem to suggest it did and some that suggest it didnt.

About Tiago's handball,if that was a penalty, how can you be so sure Liverpool would score? Even if they did,the match would've ended in a draw.It wouldn't change the course of the season at ALL.
How would it end in a draw? It would have been 1-0, the first leg was 0-0, Liverpool would have still gone though. How do you know Chelsea would be beaten AC Milan if they got to the final?

True, I can say that if Manchester United (that better Neil?) had attacked AC Milan and not respected them so much than they would have won but I don't know this. (Though I believe it)

lol, you always have to bring that up!!!!

Ste,I think Neill was talking about the league...

Atleast in his post,he says he is...

Chelsea were leading 1-0

So If Liverpool got that goal,it would've been 1-1..

I quite clearly said that IN MY OPINION the ball didn't cross the line.

Liverpool are in the champions league. Do they have to go through pre-qualifying?

Yeah they do.

I'm hoping they get a tough opponent such as Inter Milan,Ajax,Villareal or Stuttgart :)

Dutch international goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar has signed for Manchester United on a two year deal.

The former Fulham player, 34, will have to compete with Tim Howard at the Red Devils.

It's time to revive the Football Thread after a while, to talk about the latest transfer gossip and pre-season friendlies.

Hey, West Ham are in the premiership! There a good team. I don't think you can expect Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton and Chelski to sign, He's simply NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!
