This isn't good news at all, especially as it is coming just 3 days after the trial for the Ashley Cole tapping up scandal.

Here are a few links about this:
Rottenham Ready To Go On The Offensive
Blues Claim "Official" Arnesen Approach

And about the Ashley Cole thing..he's set to leave Arsenal :)

Cole Admits Its "All Over" At Arsenal

In other news,Man United have snapped up Edwin Van Der Sar of Fulham on a 2 year deal...IMO he'll stay only for a year..he's 34 years old.

Good news about this,is that Casillas will stay at Real :)

If Chelsea did approach Arneson illegally, there extremely stupid ESPEICIALLY after the ashley Cole saga!

I think Van Der Sar has been brought in to be number one until Howard is "ready". At the moment he is not, though he is a good goalkeeper.

Arneson was suspended by Rottenham.CHELSEA OFFERED HIM A CONTRACT ONLY AFTER THAT!!!

Now those greedy idiots at White Hart Lane are asking Chelsea to pay them 10 Million in Compensation :mad

I think he's been brought in to keep RVN at the club :p ;) Both of them are great friends.

How old is Howard anyway?

Howard is about 24 or 25, I thought Arneson was offered the contract and then suspended by Rottenham (;) )

Greedy idiots, i dont really think so, you're the arrogent lot who feel they can just run the league now, so you won the league, but don't you think that Liverpools achievement was greater than Chelsea winning the league, especially after they beat you in the semis.
Tottenham surely wont be asking for 10 million in compensation, but why do you need Frank Arnesen, isn't your backroom staff good enough, after pinching Peter Kenyon from Man Utd you feel you need more staff???
And i still don't see Chelsea as the best team in England, once you defend your title then you will be considered great in the English Premiership

Its because Kenyon keeps getting us in trouble by tapping up people :mad

Also,Arneson has a reputation for noticing young talent.Without him,no-one would've noticed Ronaldo, and Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

No,I don't think Liverpool's achievement was better than Chelsea's at all.

In a cup,you need a certain amount of luck, whereas in the league its all about consistancy.

Are you a spurs fan btw? :p

You actually believed that??

It was a few days back I also heard that Raul might be joining Liverpool.

Well the lad rejected Chelsea's ?71.4m offer last season, and you expect Liverpool can afford him after that?
Even if he does leave Madrid he will make sure the club makes a good deal of money as a result of it.

Chelsea were willing to pay him ?8.4m a season, double what he is earning at Real Madrid.

In the end, I would be very surprised if either Raul or Casillas left Madrid. Remember, Real is after all a spanish club, and these two have been there for quite a long while.

Despite what MARCA and TERRA feel, I am certain both of them have the full support of the Madrid fans.

No I dont. As gold said, in the CL you do have a lot of luck involved. I am not saying Liverpool are bad, but teams like Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Everton are better and have been more consistent than the Reds.

Infact had they not won the CL, they would have had a horrible season, dont you think?

Yes i am a tottenham fan and proud to be one, so you believe that Liverpool coming from 3-0 down to AC Milan and to eventually winning the match was all luck?
If we are talking of luck, what about Tiago handballing against Liverpool in the league, a definate penalty, and it could of changed the course of the season. Also in the league to some extent you need to depend on other teams not doing as well, can you do that in a cup competition?

I agree with you about the arrogance of Chelsea. Also I dont know how Gold can say Chelsea didnt make an illigal approach when they sent the same letter at the same time to Spurs and Arnesen asking for permission to talk to him so really talking to him without Spurs agreeing that Chelsea could talk to him first.

I have nothing against Liverpool, i think they sum up English football, but Chelsea are trying to become the new Man Utd but will never reach the heights that Man Utd met in the 90s. One thing i dont like about Man Utd fans though is their persistance to say United, they arn't the only United in the country!!!

You have to remember that unlike Chelsea, not everyone else in football cares about money and money alone! Raul could be joining the European Champions in Liverpool with a coach he knows and his friend from Madrid Morienties as well as a few other quality signings e.g. Pablo Aimar.

I've heard more along the lines of Figo going to Bolton, seems appropriate Bolton seem to snap up all the big names that are in their 30s, shrewed deal if u ask me.

Anyone heard the rumours bout Tottenham maybe getting a player or two in exchange for Arneson, they are talking along the lines of Forssel.

And finally the reports that Glazer will run Man Utd from America, the coward, if he understand what he's doing to the club he will do whats best.

WE DONT WANT AMERICANS GETTING INVOVED WITH FOOTBALL!!!!

I did,coz Ferguson said that Casillas was one of his favourite players, and with Glazer coming in,they might've been able to afford it.

Figo has also been linked with Middlesbrough, and I think he's going there on a season long loan.

As Vaughan said,Raul will only leave the club if Real make a lot of money out of it.

Anyway,I am absolutely sure Raul wont leave.Liverpool are getting linked with everyone these days.Yesterday it was Peter Crouch, today its Luque!Tomorrow it'll be Zidane

And Neilthomas,I never commented on Liverpool's performance in the final.I just said that in a cup, certain amount of luck is necessary.Look at Milan, they were lucky to beat PSV.Liverpool IMO were lucky to beat Chelsea(That goal didn't cross the line).

Why should Liverpool's achievement be greater?I think finishing 37 points ahead of the European Champions is a much better achievement.

About Tiago's handball,if that was a penalty, how can you be so sure Liverpool would score? Even if they did,the match would've ended in a draw.It wouldn't change the course of the season at ALL.

It could of done, another bit of luck was Mendes goal not being counted for against Man Utd, there is also luck involved in the league
