I got up early and watched it!At first i thoght it was going to be a pretyty aweful game(when milan went up 3-0)but then, what a comeback(go gerrard).Go liverpool!

Last Time,Sheva's penalty won the match for Milan, and this time,it lost it for them.

He was absolutely gutted after the match

Imo Crespo should've stayed, because Tomasson was quite useless in extra time(Atleast he scored in the shootout)

Well Done Liverpool, I said on the CricMAD forums that Milan would be favourites on paper, but Liverpool would have the strength and determination and they did. Fantastic match, I'm glad it wasn't Norwich!

Ste, whereever you are, in a Liverpool pub somewhere, remember the night.

This also means that Palace beat the European Champions this year ;) ).
:clap :clap

Actually, Birmingham did the double over Liverpool, meaning we are better than the Champions of Europe  :p

Bravo Liverpool!!!! This could kickstart a Liverpool comeback in World Football. But as far as next season's tournament is concerned, I think Everton deserve to be in it more, simply because they were far more consistent than Liverpool.

But I think England can win five places for the Champions League, if the FA urges UEFA to consider. If it can happen to Spain, why not to England.

One thing is certain - Liverpool are the kings of Europe.......unfortunately they are only 5th best in england! lol!!

What a South African Liverpool fan does when his team wins:

Everyone is talking about the match, when a boy on the back of bakkie (pick-up) comes in waving his Liverpool flag, and shouting out "Liverpool are the best!" For the rest of the school day he was in this crazed state. Leaving school he proceeded to hang the flag out of the window of his moms' Mercedes, until he got home.

He also took it to his debate last night.

This shows the difference in the style of play between the Premiership and European Football, I have noticed some other Premiership clubs are also changing their style to suit a more European game (Tottenham for one), maybe this will lead to a more techinical and less physical Premiership, and then people will stop banging on about how good Serie A and La Liga are!!

WELL DONE THE REDS!!!!!

Porto won it in 2004 in equally dramatic style....does that mean the Portuguese league is better than La Liga and Serie A?

No, My point was that the Premiership and Champions League are suited to different clubs (success in the Premiership does not mean you will be successful in Europe, take Arsenal for example). Hopefully the Premiership will become more European in its style of play.

People say the Serie A is the best in Europe because of how competitive it is.

You've got Milan and Juve challenging for the title.Inter,Sampdoria,Parma,Lazio and Roma challenging for Europe. And then you have a 12 team relegation battle.

D'you know that right now, just 2 points separate 12 teams?

EDIT : I found this interesting: EPL vs La Liga.Blue is for an EPL team win,Red is for a La Liga team win.

Barca vs Chelsea
Real Madrid vs Arsenal
Villarreal vs Man U
Betis vs Everton
Sevilla vs Liverpool
Espanyol vs Bolton
Valencia vs Middlessborough
Bilbao vs Man City
Zaragoza vs Spurs
Depor vs Aston Villa
Atletico vs Charlton
Malaga vs Birmingham
Osasuna vs Fulham
Getafe vs Newcastle
Sociedad vs Blackburn
Santander vs Portsmouth
Mallorca vs West Brom
Levante vs Crystal Palace
Numancia vs Norwich
Albacete vs Southhampton

So I think La Liga would win 11-9

I'll do something similar when the Serie A finishes this weekend

Well, its the final table of the La Liga vs the final table of the EPL.

So the La Liga Champions face the EPL Champions,The 2nd placed side in La Liga faces the 2nd place EPL side, and so on.....

Malaga would murder Birmingham any day!

Zim will have something to say about that :p
