An aweful idea, selling Veira.I think they'll have to buy someone new to fill in for him,the younger players just wouldn't have his class, maybe in a few years time they will.

They're already interested in Robinho(16M),Baptista(20M),and Hleb(10M)

So I guess if they buy those players they won't have any money left for a Vieira replacement.

Chelsea have had an offer rejected for Shaun Wright-Phillips, but to add more speculation to it, Wright-Phillips has pulled out of Man City's next game adding fuel to the fire that he is on his way out and that Man City dont want to risk him getting injured so they loose out!

Personally I dont want him to join Chelsea, he needs first team football as he is going to be important for England in the future and at Chelsea he isnt always going to get first team football with Robben and Duff on the wings, I would like to see him follow in his step dad's footsteps and join Arsenal, who are also in the running for him and Arsene Wenger was quoted as saying that they werent going to make an offer for him until Chelsea had so maybe he is going to Arsenal???

You can't expect Robben and Duff to play every match though.

Remember last season, when Chelsea missed Robben alot due to injury? That is where SWP will come in useful.

Yes but realistically SWP needs to be playing regularly and I think he knows that - to him playing most games is more important that the money involved, reports are that he has said he wants to stay at Man City which shows his maturity and its pleasing to know that one of England's future stars has a good level head on him.

Even though it is very likely that he will move on I would rather it be to a team where he will play almost every game of the season as thats what he needs, what he doesnt need is to play second fiddle to Robben and Duff and wait for them to be rested or injured just to play.

If Chelsea do get him,its likely that Robben will play a "striker" sort of Role, with Duff and SWP on the wings.

I'm sure Jose will change the strat a bit so that all 3 get a chance to play.

------------------------Gudjohnsen---------------------------
-----------------Robben--------------------------------------
Duff------------------------------------------------------SWP
------------------------------------Lampard------------------
-------------------------Makelele-----------------------------

Diagram might be a bit messed up,but you get the idea, right?;)

I do get the idea, but I cant even see why Jose would need another attacking midfielder, he has three of the best with Duff, Robben and Joe Cole who had a very good season last year and cannot just be left out this season, he played a big part in Chelsea winning the title! If SWP does join, Duff or Cole to leave either in the January transfer window or end of season.

I'm positive that one of those 4 will get an injury! :D

But you've got a point,we don't need an attacking midfielder.I'm just defending the club's decision to make a bid for him. ;)

Jose certinally is spoilt for choice, what would of been more shocking is if he hijacked Juve's bid for Vieira and while everyone was waiting for Vieira to show up at Stadio Del Api, he turned up at Stamford Bridge in a Chelsea shirt :D

You know, that might actually happen! :D

Jose said he would like to manage Vieira, but knows now he doesnt have a chance as he has signed up for 5 years at Juve and is already 29. I cant see Arsenal signing a replacement anywhere near as good as Vieira, there has been links with Jermaine Jenas but he is nothing compared to Vieira, as far as the other players linked are concerned, cant say much because I havent seen much of them, especially Baptista even though he does look like a very good player.

I would rather see Arsenal give Fabregas a chance along side Gilberto and spend that ?13m on bringing in someone to play alongside Henry as thats what Arsenal lack at the moment, a striker to play with Henry as he cant do it all on his own. Trezeguet would be pefect but I doubt Juve will let him go just yet, maybe even Javier Saviola who has been told by Barca he is surplus to requirements, he is a very nippy little player but probably too much like Henry to partner him.

They're chasing Baptista.They've had a 13M bid rejected today.
