Liverpool had by far the easiest team out of the english sides, I'm not saying it was not a big achievement to get through, it's just thaton current form, bayer would have lost to even Norwich ;) thats how bad they are.

Your wrong Leverkusen are a top side. They have cool players such as Berbatov and Schneider. They reached the Champions League finals in 2002.And based on their perfomances in the group stages,I was expecting them to thrash Liverpool. But their defense was poor.Even when they lost 3-1 away,I was expecting them to win at home. But that idiot Garcia came and scored 2 goals and it was all over for Bayer.

But still,well played Liverpool!

You may have reached the last 8,but that only makes it easier for Chelsea.

Norwich City

It is a very big challenge for Norwich to avoid relegation because the remaining fixtures are tough. They have games against Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle all in the last nine fixtures. I hope they can win in the other games and avoid relegation, but the challenge is becoming steeper. :(

Yep Norwich will be relegated. In fact,I am HOPING they will get relegated.I want Southampton to avoid the drop.WBA,Palace, and Norwich will go down.

Yup Liverpool and Benitez are talking big at the moment just cuz they won comprehensively. But hey, in that case Lyon should be the best team atm, after thrashing the German champions Werder Bremen 10-2!!

With all due to respect to both sides, beating Bremen and Leverkusen, is not the biggest thing in this world.
Now if Liverpool get Milan or Juve in the QFs, I am sure it will be ta-ta.

I agree, ta-ta Milan! ta-ta Juve or ta-ta Chelsea! You wont get past the Mighty Reds!

Unless of course you are Birmingham !

Liverpool

Out of the two British teams left in the Champions League, I hope that Liverpool do well. The newspapers were covered with losses for Manchester United and Arsenal and the win for Chelsea but there was hardly a mention for Liverpool, who quietly did their job well. Unfortunately, they may not have the class required to win the competition. :)

About the Newcastle win, their record since Bellamy went is incredible, he may have talent but what b******!! Wel done Liverpool great win and thourghly deserved. i think Ac-Milan have are gonna win the UEFA Champions League, but it won't be easy

I love me footie- in fact, I like the gritty domestic battles more than the stardom of the Champs League. Saturday mornings wouldn't be the same without Soccer AM! :D

Newcastle win again 1-0
Manchester United 4-0 demolition of Southampton (Yes!!!!!!!!)
Arsenal 1-0 (Damn ElHadji Diouf, Bolton could have won it with him)
