Football Transfers Thread

I can't believe it. Silvestre has signed for us from United.:eek:
Yeah that was pretty shocking, thought he might go to Sunderland. He's a decent defender, but still needs to eradicate the odd error from his game. Good luck to him though, acted professionally throughout his United career and been a good servant for nine years. Think the appearance of the Da Silva twins put a final nail in his coffin.

same we spend the whole of pre season begging wenger to buy players, he gets and to his credit Nasri and Ramsey but why on earth would you get Silvestre. Its obvlivious to me other than he is FRENCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still no news on Berbatov and we play Portsmouth in a few days at Fratton Park. That's going to be a very tough game.

Because Moyes is useless in transfer windows. He never buys anyone in the January ones, and has started to struggle in the summer in the past 2 seasons. Surely he should have realised from last season that the squad needed more depth, yet he sells someone and doesn't replace him. Baxter and Juktiewicz aren't good enough to replace Johnson yet. The board need to give him more money, and he needs to pull his finger out and start buying some players. He needs to pull another Arteta/Cahill-esque signing out of the water soon, or we stand no chance of getting Top 5 this season.

Looks like Robinho is leaving. Dont care about the money, but I am little nervous now, because relying completely on Robben is not a very smart thing to do. But if he does not want to stay, its only fair to let him go.

Is it too late to find a replacement now?

Shevy is leaving Chelsea and returing to Milan. Robinho is likely to join us :D

Seriously, if Fergie thinks we can just stroll through this season with the squad we've got now (plus Ronaldo whose fitness after his injury could not be what it was) and still win the league, he's dreaming, especially if Chelski get Robinho! We need to bring a couple of big names in, to show everyone else we mean business. We should go for Kaka. Chelski have raised the bar and we must respond.

You are not getting Kaka. :mad

Let Chelsea get who they want, Robinho doesn't really worry me, we do need a striker but apart from that we'll be fine, with the happenings at Spurs today, it looks like it'll be Berbatov which I'm happy with.
