Football Transfers Thread

No. He's crap.

Everton have been rumoured to be going for a whole series of players. Here's the list from the BBC Rumours site:

Alberto Riera- Had bid accepted. Will go to Liverpool.
Thiago Motta- Trying to get him in. Will either stay in Madrid or go to Pompey.
Stephane Mbia- Trying to agree fee. We won't, Moyes will try and get him for £2million, and fail, resulting in José Baxter being a permanent fixture in the team.

I wouldn't be surprised if that Jackobsen fella is our only signing of the summer. I'm starting to lose real faith in Moyes' abilities in the transfer market. He needs to pull another Arteta/Cahil out of the bag soon, or he'll be under pressure from the fans. Our youngsters aren't good enough to play regular Premier League football. Moyes needs to realise that he isn't the next Alex Ferguson, and "Moyes' Babes" have nothing on Fergie's youngsters that won the title. The likes of Gosling, Ruddy, Baxter, Juktewuxuxgntnwicz etc have nothing on Nevilles, Scholes, Beckham, Giggs, Butt, etc etc. We've got no chance of getting 5th this season.

Seriously, if Fergie thinks we can just stroll through this season with the squad we've got now (plus Ronaldo whose fitness after his injury could not be what it was) and still win the league, he's dreaming, especially if Chelski get Robinho! We need to bring a couple of big names in, to show everyone else we mean business. We should go for Kaka. Chelski have raised the bar and we must respond.

Kaka has no intention joing Manchester United. His only preference is Chelsea

Did I Shantanu ? ;)

Also, WC, you know K?k? personally then do you ? It's only tabloid rumour that Chelsea are considering a move for Kaka. He's never come out and said "I want to play for Chelsea".

Senderos to Milan, one year loan deal. Done deal.
Can I just say, I beat Sky Sports News to this breaking news!:D They started reporting it about 2 hours later and now its been around. Good job I've got an ITK.

goal.com - utter crap, file with tribal football, yet you seem to think its the wisden of the football world.

Kaka would simply go to whichever club actually managed to have a bid accepted for him. However if the first side to have a bid accepted for him was United, then inevitably Chelsea would match the offer, and considering Chelsea are currently managed by Kaka's former manage Luis Scolari, Chelsea obviously have one big plus point ahead of United in that respect.

Anyway, Everton need to sign someone. They've delayed this and that for far too long now. Considering the only problem formerly to complete the signing of Moutinho was the transfer fee, however that was before the sale of Andy Johnson which fetched £11 Million, which means that the club actually only needs to spend another £7 Million to reach Sporting's value of the player. Unless of course Kenwright is being incredibly tight, and it is no fault of Moyes' then I see no reason as to why he hasn't sign, considering he did express his interest in leaving Sporting for Everton.

Tottenham have every right to do whatever the hell they want with Berbatov. He's under contract with them and earning £80k a week from them. If Manchester United want to buy him then they have to bulk up to the asking rate, which at £30 Million is probably over the top, but considering the current climate of the transfer market and the extortionate prices for players, it's not that unreasonable. Especially considering that Spurs would be selling to a league rival rather than abroad, which would probably bring the price down £5 Million or so. I'd imagine that names like Hunteelar, Kanuote and Forlan will be banded about around Spurs if Berbatov moves, and frankly Hunteelar would be the only one I feel would suit Spurs. If Spurs were to also spend the rest of the money plus a little more, whilst Adreiy Arshavin is being horrifically over priced by Zenit, although that is due to them essentially not wanting to sell and being more than rich enough to not have too, then Hunteelar could work fit in fantastically in a system such as this;

------------------------------------ Gomes-----------------------------------------

Alan Hutton---------Ledley King-------------------Jonathan Woodgate-------Gareth Bale.

David Bentley---------------------Jermaine Jenas-------------------------------Gilberto.

------------------------Luka Modric---------------Andreiy Arshavin-------------------

-------------------------------Klass Jan Hunteelar------------------------------------

Spurs will not keep someone who is not in the right frame of mind to play.

MOTWYW.
