Football Transfers Thread

?80m is a ridiculous amount of money. Ronaldo may be the best player in England, but ?80m is still an extortionate amount of money for any player. I doubt United'll be too bothered about selling him tbh. He clearly wants to go to Madrid, and with ?80m they can easily afford to bring in a couple of really class players. Someone like Ribery for example. I can't see it hurting United at all tbh.

Im not too sure on who we'll bring in. I'd imagine the Tevez deal could happen now, Yaya Toure could be possible because his agent said they'd received a better offer than Arsenal. Then we'll perhaps need to bring in a winger (not ribery hes too much) but i cant see us needing to change things too much. We've been here before and will again but the United machine keeps on going.

As good as Ronaldo is, 80m is just too much. But then I doubt Manure would have settled for less.

Just want to point out that Ronaldo still has to agree to the move, although some reports say he did express his desire to leave.

He surely wont reject the offer to join Madrid, its his dream to play there. Replacing Ronaldo would be difficult but I think 80m would be more than enough to replace Ronaldo. Some on like David Silva or Franck Ribery would be good but Ribery is too much. The money would be used to bring in Valencia for say 18m and Tevez for 26m then the remaining 40m would be enough I think. Anyways its great news to see him go out of United.

He's leaving because he wants to leave and we've become sick of his constant moaning and now a big offer came along theres no reason to say no. He'll go and within a year you'll find out how it was his boyhood dream to sign for man city. Without a doubt a big loss but we're big boys we'll get over it and move on. Now madrid are second seeds in the CL im am relishing drawing them in the group and beating them at the bernabeau then giving ronaldo a hostile home coming.

C'mon United!

PS. I think we'll bring in Tevez, David Silva, Valencia and Yaya Toure.

I'd use the money for Tevez, Yaya Toure and David Silva or Franck Ribery. Would actually strengthen the side as opposed to weaken it I think. Nani's already in the squad and he's got alot of talent, so they shouldn't need to strengthen too much if he does leave.

WHAT! Is Ronaldo gone? Wow, kinda shocked actually.

Ah well, its the norm isn't it? Our favourite sons moving on? Beckham...Van Nistle...Ronaldo.

So whos on the radar now then?

Now Rooney can prove himself down the middle. I'm glad he's gone. It will be interesting to see if United will still play punt and run when he's gone and who they will bring in.

Don't be silly. Ali Dia would be a bargain. What's Massimo Taibi doing nowadays?
