Interesting move, can maybe tactically work out, considering how it did with Kompany.

City need to fight tooth and nail to keep Toure - I think it'd be a huge miss for them if he goes, regardless of who they replace him with. But is Martinez a Toure type player? If so, we should go all out for him - a Toure is just what we need. Combine that with Modric, and I'd be a happy Red.

Martinez is not a Toure type player. I don't think so he's much of an offensive player. IMO, he's more like the Ball Winning Midfielder who is a good passer.

I'm not saying Chelsea are stupid but do they realise you can sell players you don't want any more rather than just releasing them? Especially when you paid nearly ?30m for them.

Are you talking about Kalou and Bosingwa? If yes, they are out of contract this summer.

A Toure type player would be Arturo Vidal of Juventus and Sven Bender of Dortmund. Dortmund also rely somewhat highly on Bender, although not much clubs pay attention to him. Song too would be a good addition.

IMO, Schweinsteiger is one of the best for the box-to-box role.

Joao Pereira is going to join Valencia. A good buy for the club, although they have to control his temper.

Talking about free agents this summer, If all of them were to be grouped into a team, we're talking about a team solid enough to be in the top 5 in the pl. No crap, there's so much quality in there.

Plus Hargreaves is likely to leave City this season, he'd have not expected the guinea pig remark to take a bit of a gamble, but if he leaves City I dare to say United should get him back. But we reds don't forgive a color flipper so easily. But#2, he's got so much of quality in him when he plays with his feet up and no more injuries. But if it will be as it's been for him, he could probably move to MLS.

Hargreaves was a class player, but he's had so many lengthy injury problems, I can't ever see him getting back to his former level and that's a real shame. Colour flipper like you said though.

Schweinsteiger would be an amazing signing if United get him. They'd atleast have the Toure type player. Although Bayern won't let him easily go.
