Football Transfers Thread

I wouldn't believe a story without quotes Epic, most of them are fake.

Aspas is a decent forward, and his stats sound quite good. But he could turn out to be Borini v2.0, that's what I fear.

United won't get Fabregas. We have a 50% sell-on close and if Barca want to sell, they'll accept our offer since it'll be higher. Fabregas may prefer Utd but we'll trump them with the offer. I doubt he'd rather play under Moyes than his second father anyway.

They can't offer more than 30 m pounds I'm sure. We can offer 40 m and will only be paying 20 m so we can easily get him. With that clause I'm sure Wenger won't mind a bidding war.

All that's provided Fabregas actually wants to go back to Arsenal, correct? I mean, Barcelona can accept Arsenal's "better" offer all they want, but if the man himself turns down the move then Barcelona would be forced to sell to someone else, ofc that's if he wishes to leave in the first place.

Don't think Fabregas would reject a move to Arsenal. He'll either move or stay. That's seeing his passion for the club and his respect for Wenger.

Er.. I meant either to Arsenal or he'll stay at Barcelona, should've elaborated that.

well, maybe that's the point of a 5 year contract. Hardly think he'd stay for 5 years. There are clubs that can afford him, and Monaco would be happy to let go of him for a huge amount. Don't know about his wages yet.

He can have all the passion and respect in the world, but if his ambitions and Arsenal's ambitions don't match, which they don't, the deal won't go through it.

5 year contract? well, if madrid do want him next year they're paying through the nose for him.

And there's no release clause mind.

?14m a year is what's being reported, and that puts him on par with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

WHAT?! Also add the fact you don't have to pay any taxes in the Principality of Monaco, given their agreement with the French Government!!!!

Well, Ibra actually makes ?55m, it's just that the 75% tax leaves him with ?14m. :p

God, that's some serious money.
