Football Transfers Thread

So what's going on with Rooney? Utd say he's asked to leave; he's said he's most certainly not asked to leave, and now feels as though he's being forced out of Utd. And waiting in the wings with some sort of mega deal are PSG.

lol..

They know how to do business Arsene Wenger should learn from this because they are also winning trophies

Can't really compare the crappy Portuguese league with the English prem now can we?

Considering they've won more number of titles over the decade than any other European club - one that includes winning the same number of Champions League titles as Liverpool, Man United or Chelsea, I think their fans would be more than content to have their side playing in that "crappy" league.

Hilarious how Chelsea have literally contributed to 19% of Porto's total profits (64m).

That CL was a lucky one. :p

And who challenged them at Portugal? Sporting? Who wasted money? Benfica? They're serious contenders largely due to Jesus.

They don't care. They sell their top talents and yet consistently end up winning an average of two trophies a year and qualifying for the Champions League, whist also making huge profits.

Just saw di Marzio tweeting Joaquin -> Fiorentina is done for just a signing-on fee of 2mE. Brilliant bit of business for La Viola, IF true.

That would be incredible if true, he's got himself to good form this season and 2M seems like quite a good deal.

But what happens to Cuadrado then? Assuming Joaquin gets his role (not an easy task).

Yawn... :p

Known for ages, but glad to see it receive official confirmation. Now hope to see them buy a proper centre-back.

He has very little chance of being a success with the hype around him anyway.

He'll probably justify his price tag, or even perform quite good, but that'll never be enough. Personally I see him being a decent transfer, considering the money paid for him.
