Football Transfers Thread

Apparently, Barca left Thiago Alcantara out of their latest team photo, throwing fuel on the already flaming rumours that he's heading out of the club - and coming to Old Trafford.

Always had my doubts on this transfer saga. Not overly disappointed to miss out on him either, considering he isn't really worth 25m. Just hope we can raid the duo from Ajax for 20-22 mil now - Eriksen and Alderweireld

Dortmund yet to agree Mkhitaryan fee - ESPN FC

Looks like it's not totally done... man, Shakhtar are just right ----- to work out a deal with, them and Napoli.

Speaking of Napoli...

Zamparini: Cavani has agreed PSG deal - ESPN FC

Looks like the 2 big name players that I expected to be in the PL next season will be plying their trade in Ligue 1. Now, where does that leave Ibra? I knew he had 1 more big money move left in him! :p

Good news ! Cavani definitely suits PSG , I think that Ibra will still play one more season for PSG as he joined then the previous year , he should not go and PSG should not sell him . I want to see a deadly attack of Ibra and Cavani . :D

Manchester City close to ?20m deal for Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo | Football | guardian.co.uk

Why we are as keen as we are on Negredo I'll never know, yeah he's good and yeah he had a damn good season last - 7th highest scorer in Europe behind Messi, Cristiano, Ibrahimovic, Cavani, Falcao and Van Persie, but there are better strikers on the market... hint, hint the 2nd choices at Real and Bayern. ;)

The 2 don't really complement each other though, has problem written all over it if you ask me.

Wayne Rooney could sign for Barcelona with Thiago Alcantara and David Villa going to Manchester United | Mail Online

Villa and Thiago for Rooney?

The only thing I'd be unhappy about is that Rooney would become a bench warmer at Barca; we don't need England's 'talisman' warming the bench in Spain. If he actually plays, I can only see it benefiting England but I don't see how he will, not with Messi and Neymar around.

Barcelona are doing it again though, aren't they; they've bought Neymar - do they really need Rooney? Surely they should be focusing on the ageing defence...

Not that I really care. :D
