Jonathan Woodgate who is known for having season-long injuries is to play for Middlesbrough on a season-long loan from Real Madrid.

With Cannavaro's arrival at the Bernebau, Woodgate has limited chances of playing for Real. Sergio Ramos is expected to partner Cannavaro once the former is available to play.

League wage rules hamper Ince bid

Swindon's attempt to sign Paul Ince on a one-year deal has been hindered by the Football League's rules on wages.
The ex-England midfielder, 38, had said he would decide by Wednesday whether to accept the offer of a contract.

But League Two clubs are not permitted to spend more than 60% of their total turnover on player salaries.

Director Bob Holt told BBC Radio Swindon: "The League insists we have to pledge more money to cover it and bring it back to the ratio they determine."

That appears to be the only remaining option for the Robins, as they are currently close to the 60% limit and are unlikely to be able to sell or release players quickly enough to bring them under that limit if Ince signs the one-year deal he has now agreed.

"Now we know Paul wants to come and join us, we have to work as hard as we can to see if we can achieve that," Holt added.

Former England midfielder Ince has been without a club since leaving Wolves in the summer.

TribalFootball from my experience is codswallop most of the time.

Tevez has been linked with plenty of clubs this summer, Man Utd strongly.

The Hammers loan deal is starting to appear on other sites too,so I think its actually happened.

Also seems that the Reyes-Baptista swap deal is going to happen.Seems like a busy D-day on the transfer market.
